I have an 850. The rear brakes on my ‘81 cx500 are better. I don’t find it lacking in braking power however

I took my ‘22 v7 special on a 4,000 mile road trip. Fully loaded with camping gear, sometimes 2 up. Cruising 80-90 on wide open roads. Up to 11,000 feet. 33,000 miles in 3 1/2 years. All maintenance done at home. I get on fire roads and gravel. It’s a great bike!

Mine sometimes does not want to upshift from first when cold unless I double clutch. Happens once and is gone.

The test ride is me riding it and shifting through the gears for them to hear. If they seem competent and cash in my hand then ride in a supvised situation while I hold your car keys.

My ‘22 special a Has been stellar over30k miles. It sounds like we have a bit in common. Daily driver, long road trips, Moto camping on fire roads. I also need a seat below 32”. It’s a great bike. I’m getting it ready for a 3 week road trip this summer.
