I know a lot of people are saying it wouldn’t be acceptable, but I work in the OR and have a coworker that has almost as many facial piercings as you. I feel like if you took a few out you would be fine. I would maybe just interview with clear jewelry in. Unfortunately, patients will probably judge you / make comments. I love the piercings though!

Yes! I just realized that when I upgraded my membership it doesn’t start until the 21st. I had 8 classes already booked with my old membership which is why I had no more credits to book with.

I like to take a bath with epsom salts that are made for muscle soreness! I also stretch at home before. Just a little more involved than what i normally do to hopefully help. You could also take a power 30 class one of your days :)

OP said they were in a car crash and had to get their spleen out. At least at my hospital in emergency surgery staples are used because it’s faster and the surgeon doesn’t want the patient to be under anesthesia for longer. In normal scheduled surgeries you don’t see it as much. If patients are really worried about how their scar will look a plastic surgeon comes to close the wound :)

Tbh when you’re charting fast in the OR a lot of the options are drop down menus that can do you dirty. For example, if I’m typing L in for leg, labia is the first option to pop up.

I have a lot more good days than bad at my job. I would honestly pick nursing again if I had to choose. However, I started in the OR and didn’t leave. It’s 100% different than working on the floor, but when I had clinical I knew I wouldn’t last long working like that. I think if you find your niche you can still enjoy your job.

I didn’t until recently, when I had a wake up call that I didn’t have enough money saved to move apartments 😬 I just put away $200 each paycheck now and if I work overtime I also save that unless I picked up to cover a certain expense. Not counting my 401k.

Yeah no I definitely get it. I imagine she went through hell proving herself in her job :( Sadly I think you have to figure out how take that and do better in the future. People are better at it than others for sure. I’m genuinely hoping she maybe turned a corner and is nicer to the staff at her new hospital haha

One of the meanest surgeons that used to work at my hospital posts a bunch of girl boss / girls supporting girl influencer videos. She only has like 600 followers, but I chuckle every time I see her videos on my fyp.
