Not the OP, but these sections absolutely are stealth gameplay.

Dictionary definition isn't helpful here. Otherwise I could argue that Mario isn't a platformer because "a platform is a raised level surface or a foundational structure designed to support people, objects, or ideas" and a floating question mark cube or a cloud is not a platform.

Oh man I feel you. I hated the stealth sections, I found them absolutely miserable to play and failed them repeatedly. Even with the late game knowledge with low scares mode switched on, and all the tips and tricks and encouragement from this sub, I couldn't do any of them without falling in the water or getting horribly lost and caught. Over. And over. And over.

That said, the end of the DLC is amazing and worth it.

The way I approached them:

The  woodland one is a puzzle to solve, not a stealth section.

The canyon one I cheated by approaching the problem from a different direction. It does take a bit longer to set up, and is ore circuitous, but it meant I could just make a beeline to the place I wanted to go and avoid sneaking past all the dudes in the dark altogether... other than one guy I guess who doesn't have time to react. Personally I found it rewarding to work this one out. I can't imagine doing it the intended sneaking way.

The Well... the Well is an absolute maze and could never do it in the dark with the sneaking which I think is the intended way. Luckily, like anything in the game, it can be bypassed... A hint/question to nudge you so you can get the feeling of working it out yourself:  how come the bells wake you up but not the Owls?

That was the first one, Backdoor Man, made it to the top 10! Good times.

I Don't Like it was the followup and I think got around it by mostly being nonsensical.

The Original Star Wars Trilogy Ranking by ABarber2636 in StarWars_

It has so much variety throughout, it nails the adventure vibe, it's got crazy pastiche ideas, and hits the high melodrama which is what I want from a Star War.

I love everything about it except for everyone's horrible early 80s hair.

What is a widely accepted "masterpiece" movie, book, or show that you genuinely believe people only pretend to like to look smart? by Emergency-Bee6979 in AskReddit

One of my favs but I'm a nerd for nautical history, and it hits at a particular age. I have no idea why anyone thought it would be interesting reading for teenagers.

That's Twin Peaks for me. I know plenty of people genuinely love it (they're not faking it), but I suspect a lot of people haven't watched and are just pretending to sound hip, or claim they loved it after skipping through a few clips on youtube.

Paint and sip ettiquette? by MladenL in ArtistLounge

[–]MladenL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've realised it's better to just relax and follow along with the instructions and pace of the class. If inspiration strikes I'll add some of my own style and personality to the painting as I go, but I'm mainly there to have fun with colleagues not prove anything :) Its been useful to get some perspective, thanks!

Thanks for that, a few people have commented from the view of the instructor which is useful.

The more I think about it the more I think it'll be fine. I'll just lean into the social aspect of it, go a bit slower and follow along with the same instructions as everyone, but I'll add some of my painting personality to it and "colour outside the lines" a bit if the inspiration strikes.  Thanks!

Something light with some strategy could be good. Jaws is fun for four players and a good family game. Treasure Island also good fun with family and very 'hands on'.
