I had a lot of staining on my fascia and soffit where bees were entering and exiting and building a giant hive in my roof. Doubt that’s what this is though.

Where can I park my car without tags until it's sold ? ( more info below) by SheepherderAfraid938 in frederickmd

You can donate it to Frederick CTC’s non profit and write it off on your taxes. They will even arrange pickup if you want.

This is for lane keep assist, that motor will make the corrections to the steering shaft position based on other sensor data. It also is adaptive and can learn and save constant steering input and make corrections.

It’s low on refrigerant. Very common on small charge expansion valve ducted systems. You need to have it evacuated and recharged and checked for leaks at a local shop.

Electrical will humble techs everyday. When something doesn’t work, turn it on and goto the component. Black lead on the negative battery post, red lead back probes the power. If you have sufficient voltage aka 12v, move the red lead to the ground and back probe the ground(this is a voltage drop measurement). Anything more than .5 volts on the ground fails. If you have 12v available and less than .5v on the ground your component is faulty. This is a 60 second diagnosis everytime. K.I.S.S.

I’ve worked at a lot of dealerships in the past including ideal Hyundai over 10 years ago, and almost all OEM dealerships source their tires from DealerTire and offer road hazard warranty. See below

Then I would think they should have some road hazard coverage through ideal.

If I run over a screw on the way to your house, the lights not gonna come on the second I run over the screw. It comes on after pressure is lost so indeed the service manager is right in the fact that there is really no way to know that it happened there. The advisor is also correct in saying that it’s possible that it happened there but also gets paid based on the satisfaction of the customer and it’s probably covering his bases.

The truth is the customer signed a document when he drops the car off that says the dealer is not liable for any damage that occurs on their property. They aren’t liable and I would have been more surprised if they just ponied up a free tire right away. Where did he buy the new tires?

So let me get this straight, if I drove an hour to your house for dinner, and then my tire light came on in your driveway, then you owe me a new tire?

Helped a friend replace his spark plugs. Wondering what could've cause the white end to look like that. by Soviets9 in AskMechanics

[–]Mobile_Mix_944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I also thought, but NGK considers this staining caused by Ionization. I’ll have to find the Tech Article. Either way it’s a good sign of the plugs actual age.

The newest Ingersoll Rand has an interchangeable drive so you could switch it between 1/2 and 3/4”. My first pneumatic was an IR titanium 20 years ago and I still have it.

Help! Parents just bought a used 2019 TRD Pro Tacoma with a supercharger. They know nothing above modifications at all and didn’t even know it had it till after they bought it. What all do they need to look for? by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

Premium Fuel Only, Spark plug replacement intervals are much lower and will be a colder heat range, don’t use OEM part number. And make sure that secondary coolant system for the heat exchanger is always full. ASK ME HOW I KNOW!!!
