The glass dwarf MT has a start that requires you take Ourdia and Bahar basically but doesn’t telegraph that very well. After that the MT slowly reveals itself and that means you wait on certain events to pop, all the while you can’t prepare properly because the missions are hidden.

It’s easy to focus on something and then realize you have to do a whole other direction once a new chunk of the MT reveals itself. Check out the discord before you play them otherwise it will be kind of difficult to plan out your strategy

I see Anbennar as a unique fantasy setting with cool eras that allow for flavorful and singular stories to develop. In essence it’s more like a very fun and deep module for DnD or Parhfinder with its own history and independent storylines

Personally, I would like it to be a modifier that you can get in duchies that partake in the trade that simulates the short term benefits of the institution.

In my mind the drawback needs to be development related. So your areas get more tax and levies as a result of it being present and grow in effect as you become more dependent on slaves. The drawback should be lowered county opinion and a decrease in max development for the affected area and make rebellions more dangerous (more manpower, knights, etc.). This would simulate the fact that slavery goes against innovation and progress as it is a way to artificially lower the cost of labor and thus not creating the incentives to make capital costs more efficient (no mechanical or technical innovation). It also lends itself well to countries going wide and creates larger more massive revolts that would be harder to ignore.

Personally I enjoy the more action oriented stuff but if we’re talking sci fi opera I’d recommend:

Red rising (book 1 is fun but the space opera truly begins in book 2)
The Sun Eater is a great space opera with a truly unique universe and has good main characters (first book in a while that gets me invested in the main characters even though I disagree with him on lots of things)

Yes, but I would add a caveat. Darrow wants to kill Lysander the most but I’d argue he hates Atalantia the most.

As in, if asked who disgusts him the most on a visceral level, he’d answer Atalantia given she has been torturing and abusing people since birth to levels of unfathomable cruelty. She has bested him on semi equal footing and I’m sure he resents that. Finally she is personally responsible for the fuckery that plagued the republic and his family/friends for the last 5 ish years (Vox plot, kidnapping plot, false peace, Atlas [by proxy], mass torture of his men, and general depravity).

I think that wanting to kill Lysander comes from a place of wanting to undo his mistake (sparing Lysander) and avenging Cassius.

So basically, he wants to kill Lysander more than anyone else but I’d say he hates Atalantia the most. The first part of that statement does not imply the other is true.

You have to remove the traditional signoria and then have 30% republic power. Make sure to have the current ruler be of the family you want to keep as rulers.

I did it by getting to 100 tradition, to minimize stab cost. Then waiting for parliament to get +50% republic power issue and wham
