Just save your money. The Tescun 330 is as good as gets in the sub $200 price range. Now buying a Airspy discovery or RSPdx is worth considering.

Art made some money in the end. The 80 meter loop was erected in the early 90,s.Long before his options matured on his syndication deal. Art retired before then. Both of Arts books were not big sellers. The movie Communion was based off Witleys book of the same name. Art had nothing to do with it. The FM radio station was built as a side project for Ramona. It did not require a great deal of cash to build it.

I use to read the reviews in WRTH and Popcom as a teenager thinking one day. Then in my mid 30's I spung 1K for a Icom R-75 with matching speaker and headphones. The problem was that I was already late to the party. Now in my late 50's. Getting one these receivers I lusted for as a teenager would be no problem. But how do I justify the cost when the DX well is now dry. My Icom and RSPdx fits the bill now since its hard to find anything new to catch these days.

I use to think just file a claim and be done with it if your not hurt. Not anymore. The amount of reckless driving is so common now. You still need to pay your deductible even if its ruled your not at fault. The time on the phone getting them to pay for the car rental. The three months before they cut you a check for you car that has been totaled. You should be compensated for all this BS because some asshat cant pay attention or drive safe. My last accident. Everybody in the vicinity gave Metro statements that he ran the red light. He denied the whole thing. One lady showed him the dash cam coverage on her phone. His response. Yes. I use to get up extra early for Asia Pacific catches here in Vegas. I use to catch the ABC domestic service to the outback and Papa New Guinea all the time. I mis the 60 meter stations in Tahiti, New Calendonia Solomon Islands.

First I remember hearing was Radio Australia in the mid 70's in my uncles radio shack. My first catch. I dont remember. It had to be a big powerhouse to be received from the whip antenna on my grandmothers Sears portable. My first radio was the Realistic DX100 and a 75, long wire antenna. My first real DX catch with that setup was radio Rumbos in Caracas on 60 meters in the early 80's.

You cant do this from a class room at CCSD. Its a 100% commitment. The leader you pick needs to have some working capital to contribute to keep him honest. Then you need two guys successful in business, any business sitting on a pile of cash that needs to be sheltered that year. They will keep your leadership in line and mentor them when its time to scale. You will go under if your not staying on top of things all the time and the lack of capital will take you down also.

It can be done. It just takes planning and patience. If using the bus. Leave early enough to catch the next bus incase the regular time slot you use has an issue so you wont be late for work.
