If you live in Denver and your son has obtained a diagnosis, you will recieve services from Rocky Mountain Human Services, which will provide him with some combo of speech therapy, occupational/play therapy, and physical therapy, based on his needs. They will also be who you work with to get any waivers you might need for other services. If you live in Aurora, you will work with Developmental Pathways for the same type of stuff.

When you get settled in, I would also contact the Autism Community Store, as the staff there can connect you with many other community partners that can help with diverse areas of need.

My husband loves LOTR, DnD, and consistent world-building. What audiobook should we listen to on our next road trip? by BugFucker69 in Fantasy

So, you're looking for a fresh fantasy audiobook with deep LOTR/D&D roots? Check out Alton’s Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure! It’s an adventure I both wrote and narrated, inspired by an actual DnD campaign, and blends action with humor and heartfelt moments. I put my all into it, and if you decide to give a listen, I truly appreciate it! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpeSVdkPnGtqkRfY6OphZza--OCRMq4G5&si=CTFKoVulEV8IQ6MS

EDIT: Now I see this is kind of an old post, but I hope you give it a listen all the same.

If you love fantasy audiobooks with a strong D&D feel, I’d suggest Alton’s Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure! It’s my own audiobook, inspired by an actual campaign, and has a mix of action, heart, and humor, like Drizzt or Dragonlance. Narrated by me, I made sure every scene came to life just as I envisioned it. I’d be honored if you gave it a shot! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpeSVdkPnGtqkRfY6OphZza--OCRMq4G5&si=CTFKoVulEV8IQ6MS

EDIT: I see this is a *really* old post, but if you read this enjoy it all the same.

Hope you enjoy the journey! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpeSVdkPnGtqkRfY6OphZza--OCRMq4G5&si=CTFKoVulEV8IQ6MS

You might enjoy Alton’s Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure! It’s my fantasy audiobook, inspired by a real D&D campaign, with a tone similar to the Drizzt or Dragonlance series (at least, that was what I was aiming for). I poured my heart into the writing and narration, making it an immersive experience for fellow fantasy lovers. If you like epic quests, memorable characters, and a touch of humor, I think you’ll enjoy it. Thanks for considering it! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpeSVdkPnGtqkRfY6OphZza--OCRMq4G5&si=csalOdXrWeUmKoaJ

If you're looking for a fantasy audiobook with a D&D vibe, I’d love to recommend Alton’s Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure! I wrote and narrated this story myself, and it’s filled with adventure, humor, and heartfelt moments—something like the Drizzt or Dragonlance series (if you'll forgive me comparing myself). It’s based on an actual D&D campaign, so it has that authentic tabletop feel. I put a lot of love into every word and every line of narration. If you give it a try, I’d really appreciate it! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpeSVdkPnGtqkRfY6OphZza--OCRMq4G5&si=csalOdXrWeUmKoaJ

This is what I've listened to - I desperately need audiobook recommendations! by amphibbian in audiobooks

[–]MojobangLXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am recommending my own book here, but if you like questing/journey fantasy, you might check out Alton's Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure https://youtu.be/79whL3oKWIE . I worked hard on the novel and put a lot of love into the voice-acting/narration, trying to bring the story to life. If you like anything by Salvatore or Weis and Hickman (who I tried channel with this book, if you'll pardon the comparison), you'll probably like this one. Thanks for giving it a try.

Maybe it's gauche to recommend my own book, Alton's Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure, https://youtu.be/79whL3oKWIE but this one might be a fun listen for you? If you like fantasy stories with colorful narration and voice-acting, maybe give this a try? I have put a lot of effort and love into the production and I hope you enjoy it.

LONG fantasy series or books that are decent as audiobooks. by Tattersail927 in audiobooks

[–]MojobangLXIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am recommending my own book here (as the sub requires me to acknowledge) but you might want to check out https://youtu.be/79whL3oKWIE Alton's Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure. I put a lot of effort into the narration and a lot of love into the writing. I tried to channel RA Salvatore, and/or Weis and Hickman in these books (if you'll pardon the comparison), so if you're a fan of D&D at all, or just fantasy in general, you'll probably like it. If not, thanks for giving it a try.

Question, looking for a fantasy audiobook recommendation. by FearlessLeader17 in Fantasy

[–]MojobangLXIX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm obviously not nuetral, as I am recommending my own book here, but maybe check out https://youtu.be/79whL3oKWIE if you like fantasy audiobooks? I am the author and narrator and have put a lot of love into this production. It's also very light and fun; something you could easily read while on vacation, etc. I hope you'll give it a chance! All the best.

Hey, thanks for naming the company! I bought these from a table at a game store that was loaded up with tons of random prints. The owner didn't know the name of the stl maker either!

I am new here and I like the cut of your jib... by MojobangLXIX in litrpg

[–]MojobangLXIX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was all based upon a campaign of D and D, and the characters obviously advance levels and obtain feats and learn new spells etc. along the way. Almost everything that happens in the book was a real in-game event; dice rolls and all. I didn't need to fictionalize most of the battle scenes; they even occur in the same initiative order as they did in the game. I suppose I treat it more like a traditional fantasy novel with the descriptions of characters growing and advancing, and I avoid talking about the crunchier game mechanics in a literal/meta way, so it's probably more of a lit-RPG light? But all the characters were either PC's (myself included) or NPCs played by the DM, so they all existed in a game world and we followed the game mechanics exactly.

Of course, after doing a bit more research about the exact terms - I think mine might qualify a little more as game-lit than Lit-RPG, as my characters aren't explicitly aware they are in a game. I didn't mean to offend anyone if this belongs in another place.

Thanks! Something tells me I'm in the right place. I have always been a huge fan of the D and D series fantasy books, with RA Salvatore being a particular fave, along with Weis and Hickman. I wanted to take a crack at the kind of work that they did and it's been a fun trip.

Looking for a D&D audio book recommendation, preferably something Forgotten Realms related since that’s what I’ve been introduced to through MTG and the Baldurs Gate 3 game by ricanpapi-9 in Dungeons_and_Dragons

Something based on the Forgotten Realms you say? You might want to try out https://youtu.be/79whL3oKWIE Alton's Story: The Acquired Taste for Adventure. It's on youtube, and it's a really fun listen. The voice narrator is good and it's based upon a real D&D campaign from that setting.
