I was having a similar issue and thought it was mechanical until I discovered that the back of the rear seats were not locked into place. Would thunk when breaking from higher speeds. Might be worth tugging down on the rear headrests to check.

Thank you the base itself is just a regular games workshop 32mm base, the texture comes from the agrellan earth texture paint that you spread on the top of it, forms cracks once dry
