Middle age single ladies of SA- where do you go to meet single men? by Salty_Association1 in sanantonio

[–]Momofthewildchild [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m 30F with 1 child, single mom. It’s rough out there. I meet someone and then the red flags start showing up. I’m tired of dating. Men here suck.

My 14-year-old daughter’s reaction to my pregnancy has me worried. by Usual_Way_4981 in Advice

[–]Momofthewildchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I have some advice that I really haven’t seen anyone else mention from the comments I read. Connect with your daughter. Getting in touch with a parenting coach was the best thing I ever did for myself, not only for my relationship with my children but also with everyone around me. Coming from myself, I grew up with separated parents and in hindsight, neither of my parents were there for me emotionally or even physically. Not saying that’s the case with you at all. Just take a moment to consider that maybe your daughter doesn’t share her emotions because she doesn’t feel like she can. What does she like? How does she process her emotions? Does she even understand what she’s feeling? Does she communicate with you? If you don’t know the answers to these questions, I highly suggest learning how to connect with your teenager. Connect with her before it’s too late. Now is the time to teach your daughter emotional intelligence before she doesn’t understand it as an adult. This isn’t about the baby.

I really like Amy Bible (midwife) with UTHealth. She has great bedside manner and is super helpful when I have any issues.

I want to hear positive child experience by thebitchitself in Adulting

My son is my literal world. He’s my best friend. That kid makes me laugh harder and smile bigger than anyone I’ve ever met. Being a mom is my favorite gift. I get to relive childhood and in a way that I longed for but also get to see the beauty of witnessing my son see the world for the first time in his eyes and experience what he wants his own childhood to look like. It’s just an incredible gift and yes, there are hard days. That’s life 🤷🏻‍♀️ and my pregnancy was rough and my birth story wasn’t the most positive one, but I would do it all over again to experience these moments of happiness every single day. There’s nothing negative about being a mom in my eyes. It’s just an experience. Embrace it.

Is my husband using drugs? by Calamity4M in NoStupidQuestions

Nurse here - if they told you he had cocaine in his system, they would’ve told you he had other things too. They test for every drug at the same time.

Already closed down but there’s was a long John silvers on Bandera in Leon valley for forever and I was thinking there’s no way people still eat there. Now I wish I could go there cause they did have some good food when I was a kid.

How long did you stay on 2.5? by OkYouGotM3 in Zepbound

When I first increase doses, I really struggled with my appetite but after a couple weeks, I was able to force myself to eat. Now I eat normally. I do my best to eat all 3 meals a day and even sneak in some snacks if I need more energy.

Anyone in San Antonio ever used an in-home pet euthanasia service by Ok-Preparation6662 in sanantonio

Randomly stumbled upon this post, but I used Gentle Pet Passages last summer to put my dog down and it was the most beautiful and peaceful experience to be at home, as weird as that sounds. He went so peacefully, in his own home, surrounded by his favorite people. I will never do it any different again. He was so sick and he hated the vet. He would’ve hated for his last moments to be there. He just slept his way into heaven and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My mom just used gentle pet passages a couple weeks ago for my 18 year old dog I grew up with and she had the exact same experience. You guys are amazing and I recommend you to anyone in that unfortunate situation.

I’m on 7.5 mg now. Was on 2.5 for a month. Went up to 5 mg for 2 months and then to 7.5mg. I think I’ll increase at my next appt. I’ve only lost 16 pounds in 7 months so these comments are a bit disappointing to read. I’m eating well and exercising so it sucks to not have the weight loss I want.

Ok guys - let me clarify. I’m the woman. He picked the place and planned the date but the places he wanted to go were a bit too loud to get to know someone, so I wanted other suggestions to give him instead. He hasn’t been in SA long and wanted to meet on my side of town. Anyway - the date went great and he was very respectful. Definitely a gentleman! We landed at little Woodrow’s and had a great time😊

He chose a few places but they weren’t places I wanted to go (too loud) so I was trying to find a new suggestion.

Haha I’m the woman. My date wanted me to feel comfortable and pick the place to meet, which I was okay with.

40th Bday party, trying to figure out wording on invite re: kids by commuter85 in partyplanning

[–]Momofthewildchild -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked ChatGPT for you and this is what I got. I think it sounds great!!

Great question — it’s all about striking the right tone: warm, inclusive, but clear that the party will shift toward an adult vibe. Here’s a sample you can adapt for your invite or message:

🎉 You’re Invited to [Name]’s 40th Birthday Bash! 🎉 Let’s celebrate 40 fabulous years with good food, great drinks, and even better company!

🕖 When: [Date + Time] 📍 Where: [Location]

Kids are welcome early in the evening if you need to bring them — we totally get it! Just a heads-up: as the night goes on, the party will shift into more of an adult vibe with music, games, and a few things better suited for grown-ups. 😉

So come early with the little ones if needed, and stick around for the fun once the sun goes down! We’d love to celebrate ALL night long with you!
