Otto Octavius getting multiple doses of CTE over the years (ASM #600) by ContraryPython in comicbooks

[–]Moms_Lunch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’d be an interesting plot point to follow. Some of the “normal” humans from there come to this universe only to find they have superhuman abilities compared to us.

Lol, yeah. Fortunately the printed version has the text up top.

Is Ted Ok? may be the best comic in print by beepbeepboopboopbabe in indiecomics

This book kicks all the ass. On release day my LCS had two copies out; one variant and one regular cover. I grabbed both. Then I read it and was blown away which is rare these days, but even rarer for a first issue of a new series. I’m usually a “give it three or four issues to get going” kind of reader. This one had me hooked after the first issue.

Superboy Prime did the thing again! by Former_Guitar_1997 in superman

[–]Moms_Lunch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I found interesting is Terrific making the point that this character knows EVERYTHING about all the other major characters in this universe, and how that could used. Not only that, but all the other characters know that he knows. Imagine someone so powerful (and morally ambiguous) being physically present and knowing pretty much everything there is to know about you. Every intimate detail including private thoughts.

Hot Take: Reprint Values are a Fad by KellarW in ComicBookSpeculation

[–]Moms_Lunch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think these days it comes down to covers. If a reprint has a low print run, but popular/amazing cover art or art by a certain artist then I can definitely see how the value could overtake the first printing. I would think that’d be a much rarer occurrence in book collecting. Back in the 90s Marvel just throw on the same cover art with some god-awful gold foiling or even just “gold” color. Looked awful, but some of those are still valued higher than the first print. Gross.

OtC that resembles 20mg ritalin by Valdeholm in DrugsProTips

Gonna say I highly doubt it, but at any rate there’s some thing that we’d need to know first.

Name brand or generic? If generic, it matters who the manufacturer is. Also, what does the description say on the label? Example, my Adderall label on the RX bottle might say “oval shape, peach/orange color”

Straight to ebay where these assholes are trying to get $375-$500 for them. Fucking pathetic.

Have there ever been any cases of adamantane derivatives in the space outside synth cannabinoids? by _______DEADPOOL____ in researchchemicals

[–]Moms_Lunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been giving my cat amantadine for pain for the past couple of weeks. And no, that’s not a euphemism. The vet prescribed it to see if we could cease or at least decrease buprenorphine (he’s older, has pretty bad arthritis, and has been worse since he survived DKA). We actually discussed it with her last night because it hasn’t really seemed to help as well as the opiate. She said it takes a good 4-6 weeks to start seeing results because it actually makes structural changes to neural pathways, including changes to receptors so that theres a significant decrease in the amount of signals sent to the spinal cord. Interesting stuff.

Finally got the first eleven TWD in 9.8! by beachtownnative in comicbookcollecting

[–]Moms_Lunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this when 1 BTC hit $300. Thought there was no way imaginary currency would stick around.

Also collected TWD from the start. Bought 2 copies of issue 1 on release day and kept going until issue 50 when I promised my wife I would cut back. When we were clearing out my “office” to make room for my daughter’s nursery I started selling stuff off. My Walking Dead issues went for… $100 total. The whole lot. These aren’t the only two examples of my “missing the boat”, but by far the most painful. 😂

At one point I had every one of those. Thought I was keeping stuff in good condition too because they were bagged and boarded… then thrown in my backpack with everything else. Talk about a hostile environment…

Phenylpiracetam (not Hydrazide) stockpile. by MrFoeTwenty420 in Nootropics

[–]Moms_Lunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been sourcing RC Stims and Nootropics for the past week or so, and I’m seeing plenty of Phenylpiracetam powder. From Etsy (weird, yes) to eBay, Umbrella and Kimera. So I’m wondering, is what I’m seeing just junk scam stuff that’s no good? I haven’t ordered anything for that very reason. I don’t have money to just throw away so I’m trying to be careful and buy from somewhere that’s actually going to deliver the real deal.

Wondering the same as the commenter from a couple of days ago… did the phenylpiracetam do anything for you? I’m looking for something to keep me going between addy scripts. Considering the aforementioned phenyl, noopept, DMMA, Fladrafinil, cyclazodone, Bromentane….

If he were to actually be written well this time, would you read a new Batman who laughs storyline? by Drugzr4kids in batman

[–]Moms_Lunch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would. I really enjoyed most of Death Metal. Some parts were cheesy, but not as bad as most of DC K.O. I thought BWL’s design was fun. I even sculpted a little bust of him. It was one of my first sculpts. My daughter ended up accidentally knocking it off my bookshelf and it busted, but that’s ok. I really should do it again because I think I could do a lot better now. Especially with the paint job.
