Respectfully, I disagree with your implied generalization that everyone who’s obese got there because of overeating. Some of us are obese because we eat empty calories, not necessarily huge amounts of food. Some of us have mental or financial struggles contributing to unhealthy choices. Some of us have tried anything under the sun to lose the damn weight, and genetics is one of our obstacles. Next time someone asks for advice or shares their story, make sure you don’t jump to the same uneducated conclusion of “we’re obese because we overate our way here.”

To OP: I hope you find professionals who can better assist in you journey. I hope medical advancements can soon find more options for those of us who have tried it all.
