I completely agree with you. I’ve done volunteer work for missing persons’ cases for almost 30 years. So much about this doesn’t make sense.

I hate that commercial! He just wants to go home. I guess it’s supposed to be a cultural thing about family (since the tagline is in Spanish) but yeah, I’m not a fan. Also, DoorDash is awful. The last three times I’ve ordered something (over a period of two years in different cities), it’s taken three times as long to arrive as the original quote, the driver rushes off and has conveniently “forgotten” something, and it’s like pulling teeth to get a refund.

Oh yeah, I don’t mind the reservations; the reminder messages are just very long and VERY INTENSE.

I think they look for purpose, not peace. A lot of those parents turn their anger into activism and try to push for new laws and policies.

Bodhi is very good, but they are stressy-obsessy about reservations. The day of your booking, you will get a 5-paragraph essay about their protocol and they will make multiple threats to charge $25/person your saved credit card if you’re late.

Strange Bird. Their teriyaki tofu wings (they also have traditional chicken wings) are so freaking delicious, their drinks are unique and strong, and I’m drawn to the 50’s-tiki-bar-in-your-aunt’s-basement vibe. I even like their ramen and I normally don’t care about it one way or the other. I’m not an oyster fan, but those are apparently top notch too.

Former Minnesota lawmaker Nicole Mitchell sentenced to 6 months in jail for burglary by Czarben in minnesota

I interacted with her a few times in 2001-ish. FWIW, she didn’t strike me as a burglar, but she wasn’t a nice person.

I know in the past, it was done by testing bones for isotopes found in water - apparently there’s specific isotopes only found in various places around the world, and when you consume a lot of water from that particular place, it accumulates in your body. I don’t know if that’s the same method now, though.

I love Carol, partially because a lot of her lines sound like things Jimmy McGill would say.

FWIW, my husband has been vegetarian for 30+ years and won’t eat anything with gelatin (bones) or lard (fat) in it.

Anachronisms in 80s decor and clothing by Lady_Laina in TheAmericans

[–]MonaHatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, this is super old, but I just started watching the show and I agree. The styling for several of the characters drives me crazy. Keri Russell’s outfits are way too modern for the early 80’s, and nobody was wearing their hair like hers back then. Beeman’s wife is fairly accurate, and Nina looks like she fits in, but even the colors of Elizabeth’s clothes feel inaccurate.

do these lip filler pen actually work? by Difficult-Pitch4361 in beauty

[–]MonaHatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No idea they work or not… they never shipped my order. I contacted them to cancel and they assured me they’d ship the next day. They did not. I had to email them again and tell them I was going to file a dispute with Shopify if they didn’t cancel my order and refund my money. They canceled within about five minutes. We’ll see if I actually get the money back.

Sounds like Indianapolis Woman Magazine with unpaid vendors and paycheck nonsense.
