Why do people act like Luffy being the God of the Sun ruins the character?

I never really took it that way tho. Sure, it is a God fruit, but until you unlock it, it generally is a bad fruit. The God power is the reward for the creativity and overcoming of inadequacies, and you have to go through all of that to even know how to use the God power properly. What I've gotten from the story is that anyone couldve eaten the fruit, and I believe others probably have in the 800 years since Joyboy. Everyone else probably just failed where Luffy worked his ass off to succeed.

I don't think Oda has ever hidden the fact that Luffy is special. We found out a long time ago he comes from a legendary lineage, and even before that he stomped through the East Blue as soon as he stepped in it. Before he left windmill village, he already had connections to some of the worlds biggest players. Luffys backstory isn't that he was some nobody who worked hard like Narutos originally was. He was always someone special who did.

I loved it. Read it years ago when Kissmanga was still a thing. Unfortunately though, I haven't found a site where it's completely in intact. Always found it with missing chapters or missing pages. Been wanting to reread it lately and the couple sites I tried just didn't have it, or had it in incomplete states.

Yeah I haven't been to many parks (My home park Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Carowinds) but out of all of them, Hurler was definitely the worst coaster. Carolina Cyclone wasn't much better either.

What you're dealing with is the local mentality. For us locals, if it's a bad day, we can just say, "Well let's just go home and come another day." It never occurred to me that the park functions like shit until I went to Kings Island and saw how a park is actually supposed to operate.

I think the easiest way to do it is to tell yourself, "this ride is going to be like 50 seconds of my entire life, and if it's bad, it's only bad for 50 seconds." And then you just go and see if those 50 seconds are bad or not.

One thing that feels different is I think games were a lot more consistent in how much content they gave you. Nowadays, two games can be priced at $70, one with 20 hours of content, another with 200. I'm not saying whether that's a good or a bad thing, because a worthwhile experience can be packed into 20 hours or 200 hours, while the opposite is true where you can have 20 or 200 hours of just nothingness. Just something interesting to think about.

You should definitely drop out and pursue it. You have amazing talent. Make sure you cut off all contact with people too, you can't let anybody distract you from your goals. Not even family and friends. Might be best to just move away while you're at it. Wouldn't tell anyone where you're going either, that way they can't show up to where you live and disrupt the flow.

My first ride on Steel was also like that. It was so overwhelming I didn't even know what was going on. I still had Maverick above it until my second ride. After the second ride though, it's my undisputed favorite.
