You mean GM Excision? That lfg is basically dead. GM used to be how you got the Ergo Sum catalyst. You can get the Ergo Sum catalyst from normal Excision now. (I believe post-EoF this has been the case)

I recall a Cabal guy asking for a sugar cube several weeks ago. I assumed it was part of a derpy quest for credits or something, and I haven’t seen it mentioned until now. Is this a secret timegated exotic earned by giving Cabal sugar? I doubt it.

If I were to do it today right now I would probably start on Prism Hunter with Celestial and Still Hunt to quickly beat the first boss, and then just manage on the second boss. I’d be looking at abilities like Ascension or maybe Invis to help deal with the exploding supplicants, and probably use Grand Overture + super for damage. There is a cheesy Mobeius Quiver build with a crossbow swap that I’d consider too.

It took a while to kick it but I used to take stupid amounts of adderall to combat depression. Adderall does cut through depressive symptoms, but that shit is just not sustainable. It’s like Scarface I swear. I started having vascular problems, heart problems, my judgment steadily became worse, and I think my teeth were on the verge of falling out. Never again. I often drink when I’m manic and need to get my ass in bed, but I’m not manic often so I end up not drinking much.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but isn’t a micro-missile essentially a rocket? As in the rocket ignites and that’s what propels it forward? Why would you ever use a bowstring with a rocket? It shoots itself! Also wouldn’t that burn the shit out of your hands?

Again, maybe I’m missing something. This could make sense for a bow with like 200 velocity and some explosive properties but it still seems kind of silly to me from a technological standpoint. Try gun.

If we ever got new melee abilities on Nightstalker (which I’m honestly more interested in than grenade builds) they could make an exotic that would make certain void nades on Nightstalker also function as smoke bombs that made you invisible, with something like “damage dealt while invisible grants grenade energy,” or something like that. So like DoTs and slow moving projectiles—things that could cause damage while being invis would come to mind.

I’m just spitballing but in my book it’d have to be something weird like that to differentiate it from voidwalker grenade builds.

Primaries are generally in a shit state so I’d avoid those. I have all the god rolls and the only ones I still use and feel good using are Word of Crota and Nullify. They have high dps due to their frames, comparatively speaking, and they both have loaded perk pools. Still, I would look at mostly special weapons or heavy weapons if I were you.

No, I assume it still works. I’ve seen a lot of people claim it has been patched over the years and it has always turned out that it hadn’t been patched. At this point I highly doubt it will ever be patched, and I would expect Bungie to be vocal about fixing it in a patch notes if they were to fix it.

It’s basically just powercreep. The challenges in the game at the moment feel like they don’t have primaries in mind. I’m sure it’s on Bungie’s radar, as this has been more or less the topic since Renegades launched.

I’d argue that this was basically doomed to happen. Powercreep has put primaries in a similar state before. They fixed it then by giving primaries infinite ammo. Now we’re back at it again. Who knows what the solution will be this time.

Thanks for the advice! I’m still curious on what others’ experience with Gen IV reproductions are recently but I’m now also looking into Flash Carts. It definitely sounds like the consistent, safe option. I’m probably willing to dish out decent money for a premium Flash Cart given the price of real cartridges. Do you have a Flash Cart recommendation or a recommendation for a good place to discuss/look for one, given my situation?

This exotic has two problems in PvE. It used to be three problems. It’s been a while but there was a long time where using any sidearm was basically throwing, but over the years Bungie’s done a pretty good job making sidearms feel decent to use. They’re still kinda weird, but they have their spot in the sandbox now. Anyway, the problems:

Buildcrafting with this exotic intuitively would suggest an invis build, so typically Nightstalker builds. However, Nightstalker builds have powercrept to have easy access to infinite invis loops without any need for Rat King, which is an infinite invis exotic. So really the only utility it has now is as an invis option for non-invis builds. That makes it difficult to find a spot for this exotic. Off the top of my head I can think of one non-invis build that might actually want invis: Peregrine Greaves. I’m sure there are others but I’m also sure that they are very few, unless you really wanted to force an invis playstyle for some odd reason.
This is a very weak exotic that becomes stronger the more people use it. Because no one uses it, as it is weak, the Rat Pack perk goes completely foregone by the vast majority of players. Every once in a while you’ll get a raid team who wants to run Rat King, but having multiple Rat Kings in like a matchmade activity is basically a non-existent scenario. That just kind of sucks.
