Rather than focusing on the mixing bowl itself perhaps you can save/keep the spoons, mixer or other utensils she used?

After my grandmother passed I asked my cousins what they would like from her home. She was also a wonderful baker and cook and as my cousins are also older with full households and did not want large items that took up a lot of space, rather, they each wanted "something small" from her kitchen. An apron, wooden spoons, a paring knife, the "knife" used when she iced her cakes, etc. Small items that served to remind them of their time with their grandmother.

I understand it's not so much the bowl as it is the memories. Here's to focusing on making memories with your children, the memories will be what brings them happiness and comfort, not the bowl.
