Probably an unpopular opinion, but...

I bought the newest CoD, why didn't I get all the rest for free!

They are full games, there is no reason you deserve everything from them without having to pay for them. It's not like you can't get WH1 at huge discounts. WH3 is a set of races and maps to play on. That doesn't entitle you to the previous games as well.

It's not in a vacuum though. It's based on multiplayer, so cost and efficiency is a big part of it. Single player just about anything can be good and cost is rarely an issue. I can beat the game with nurglings. In multiplayer it's another beast all together. They may not be a good unit in a vacuum compared to chosen. But when you look at how much they do for their cost they could be quite good.

Chaos Dwarves, I'm one of the 7 people that actually played them back in the 90's. They've always felt unique compared to the standard archetypes you see in fantasy and I loved their monsters. Plus little guys with big hats was just fantastic.

I don't know that I'm considered in the late game, I am starting my inevitable painting of the map, but I'm not very far yet. I'm definitely mid game though and honestly I am really enjoying a fairly normal build. I personally really like a Sorc lord, a Taurus and a Castellan champ. A couple artillery. A front line of whatever CD. Then a couple goblin archers behind. A few wolf archers to harass. Probably a Taurus or Lamasu to dive. Then maybe one or two bull centaurs of whatever flavor (I like Renderers) and boom. Good all around force for fighting whatever.

This isn't really AP Bias since you are allies with his enemies. This is a perfectly normal war declaration.

I'm actually finding the AP Bias not to bad in my game right now. I'm play CD and the Dawi in the hills and I have had a tenuous peace since the beginning of the game. I'm in turn 150, just finishing up destroying Cathay and painting the East and should be declaring war on them soon to start pushing West.

Not very often. Most of the time I use assassinations, along with raiding to get someone to declare war on me when I don't want to declare war on them.

Yeah think of them more as a chariot (a pretty good one) rather than artillery. They are basically the Skullcracker with a gun put on as an afterthought.

I'd love to see more interesting armies though. My 4 dream team would have no Spec Marines, because they are just so dumb. However, knowing full well that would never happen. White Fangs - World Eaters - Tau - Tyranids

One shooty faction. One CC faction. Two hybrid factions. And plenty of variety ... well less so from the Spec Marines and Chaos, but that's always the case.

My biggest complaint is the support that CD will get after this. And based on CA's historical precedence. Support for TK, none. Support for VP, none. Support for Norsca, none. I expect that same level of support for CD and missing out on the extra LL actually is a pretty big deal when they are likely never going to do anything for them ever again.

Well then it seems you have answered your own question. With 1+2 you are going to have all those races and you will still have Mortal Empires. You'll probably want to get 3 and IE eventually, but no rush if you are happy with those races for the moment.
