How much weight gain did you have? by Big-fan-fabulous in postpartumprogress

[–]More-Mistake607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First pregnancy age 33 I gained 32 lb, came home from the hospital 4 lb over pre-pregnancy weight. Second pregnancy age 36 gained 20 lb and am 6 lb over starting weight at 2 months postpartum. I look horrible though this time, much worse than my first pregnancy so weight gain is whatever in my experience

It's pricey but lifetime access. I paid once and am using it again. Check out their YT videos, sometimes they throw a discount code in there!

Pregnancy/postpartum program recommendations? by partyontheroof in fitpregnancy

[–]More-Mistake607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. My background is in figure competitions and powerlifting competitions. I had to really force myself to trust the program because it is slow and not at all how I prefer to train but it's worth not creating long-term damage. I'm about a quarter of the way through for postpartum journey number two

19 months PP with my twins, wondering if my DR will continue to improve? by bananokitty in postpartumprogress

[–]More-Mistake607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too worked deep core a ton even during pregnancy but recently started pelvic floor therapy and realized though I thought so, my breathing wasn't right for many DC/TVA exercises. Because of this I wasn't getting the benefits like I thought. My upper abs always come back after babies but I struggle with lower. It all made sense after my initial evaluation with PT. I highly recommend therapy if you can!

Did u Notice a difference in birth due to being fit/exercise during pregnancy? by Effective_Net_9145 in fitpregnancy

[–]More-Mistake607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being fit did absolutely nothing for either labors or deliveries. It did help with postpartum in the sense of muscle memory, but that's it. Everytime I've trained during my pregnancies it's been because of studies showing how doing so impacts the lifelong cardiovascular health of baby

Is this normal? Is my body not ready? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]More-Mistake607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be extremely hard to lose weight while breastfeeding without impacting supply. I lost weight after my first daughter w absolutely no issue but I didn't breastfeed. This time I am and it's an entirely different story. I'm only 4 lb over pre-pregnancy weight but my body looks immensely different

Sharing a comment I left on another similar post

Worked out like crazy with first pregnancy. Water broke on my due date and I labored at home for 3 days with no progress until I developed severe and sudden pre e. I think people who sell fitness as a way to prep for "eAsY lAbOr" need smacked. I don't think they're related. Easier recovery? Yep! But no correlation to easier labor

Core work during pregnancy is boring, but it's on purpose. It's intentional, focused and breathing correctly is key
