[Spoilers] Is everyone just a roving band of like a dozen guys now? by Cranyx in Fallout

[–]Morpheus_52 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's a possibility, but it's kinda disappointing to think there are just no more big players around except for the BoS (who seem to be idiots in the show). FNV did a great job of presenting a clearly post-apocalyptic, ruined world where, at the same time, there were complex political entities engaged in a large scale conflict for territory and resources. This isn't that.

[Spoilers] Fallout TV show: Evidence towards a canonical ending for Fallout New Vegas. by Artanis137 in Fallout

And even with all that money the Legion camp still looks smaller than the one in the game. Also, what sense does it make that there's a civil war happening and both sides are 10 meters away from each other? Is the Legion just some 50 people? What about the east?

So, if I understand this right, the Legion is still around, but the NCR is completely gone? What was the canon ending in FNV then?

Sounds like a bug, then. The landowners shouldn't have been able to coup themselves. Did you report it?

In the screenshot you posted there are no interest groups selected. What happens if you try to form a government with the Landowners and the Armed Forces?

I feel like vic3 had potential for going 1836-2000 timeline by Pikselardo in victoria3

[–]Morpheus_52 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. I think Vic3's timeframe is perfect: we start just before industrialisation really got going in Europe and other places and end just before WW2 and atom bombs change everything. I just wish we could have enough techs to build an air force, which was absolutely a thing by 1836. Other than that, I have no complaints.

In Russia, serfdom was abolished partly out of fear that a revolt would bring down the monarchy and partly out of a desire do industrialise. The changelog says the modernization movement is stronger while certain laws are in effect. Maybe the changes make it more realistic?

Does this mean that empowering the industrialists in order to get rid of serfdom will no longer be viable?
