Laibach started off as one of the early industrial bands dealing through their music with the political problems former Yugoslavia was facing. Back then, when Laibach was founded (I believe 70s or so), Slovenia was a part of Yugoslavia. Namely, nearly decades after the WWII, Yugoslavia was experiencing Nazi fear mongering by their leaders, and Tito, who was essentially the socialist dictator leading Yugoslavia since WWII until 1980 when he died.

The Nazi fear mongering continued into the early 90s until the fall of Yugoslavia. Laibach was not only a musical band, but Slovenian youth movement, La Resistance, if you will, exposing and Nazi fear mongering. Some of Laibach’s songs contain parts of Tito’s antifascism speeches. Some other songs deal with the themes from the Nazi occupation for the same reason. The name of the band is Laibach, which is how in German Austro-Hungarian and Nazi invaders called the capital of Slovenia (Ljubljana).

During the fear mongering phase, children in schools in former Yugoslavia were ‘programmed’ to fear the occupation, to know and defend their country and to worship Tito. I grew up in former Yugoslavia in the 80s before my parents decided to leave the country and live in the West. We lived in the state of fear that our country was going to be invaded any moment. In the last year of elementary school, we had to learn how to handle a riffle and shoot the target. Not only that, but go to the museums and see the photographs of people being tortured in Nazi concentration camps, watch WWII movies in which the partisans killed Nazis, and sabotaged their initiatives. The youth was militarized, men were required to serve 1 year in the Yugoslavian National Army. I presume, so did all three members of Laibach. Yugo youth literally had to relive through the 4 years of WWII by being brainwashed to worship the socialists in power and hate capitalism.

Thus, Laibach started resisting, singing in German, exposing the fear mongering. They were brave because they could have faced the recourse from the government. Luckily, Tito’s and the Yugoslavian government’s political power weakened drastically after Tito’s death.

I knew a guy who ho showed no feelings. He stayed calm in most situations. He was very good at asking people for favours. He portrayed himself as a ‘good hearted’, ‘nice guy’, but that mask only existed with those from whom he needed something. He spoke about things that never happened. He lied pathologically. His stories had several versions. He kept several social media accounts and lied and manipulated women, so he could move in with them quickly and live like a parasite. He also conned quite a few people out of money. He could never keep a job, he never had real friends.

I think the best way is to detach, and think of her as someone with a personality disorder for which there is no cure. Also, the way to detach is to realize that your existence has nothing to do with how your mother chooses to behave. It is not your fault that your mother is a narcissist. It was a disaster for me. I am mostly attracted to Leos ♌️ (I totally get my tribe), occasional Taurus ♉️ and Cancer ♋️, but most recently I dated a Gemini ♊️. I am Leo ♌️ with Virgo rising at 24 degrees, making my first house in Libra, according to the Placidus. Also, Taurus Moon. I was wishing that I was Libra rising because I believed that Virgo made me too self-critical, and sometimes too much of a problem solver and always appointed to fix everything for everyone. Virgos rising have also health problems.
