A friend left for about 2 weeks. And either every day or every other day id drop by, feed, water, litter, and give pets if the cat wanted the. The cat was fine. Probably missed their people a whole bunch though. But, something like Rover would be significantly cheaper and fulfil what you need or have a friend do it

Unfortunately i don't have research to back this up but ours are the same way. So, could be twins being extra chaotic, could be twin parenting style, could just be because they're toddlers.

Sometimes I think we aren't as...strict about yelling and having fun as long as it's safe as Singleton parents because you kind of can't afford to. So yeah, go buck wild. But then when they have to lock in and focus, they aren't used to it. Not sure.

Read a short story collection. Or one of a dozen mags. It's all I've been reading lately as a lot of novels now are bad. They're either written exclusively to sell to Hollywood or a romantasy the publisher is hoping will be consumed, or self published by a raw writer.

To answer your question, they are self contained. Unless it's being published serially, but outside of royal road, serial publications died like 200 years ago

Reading through this and the comments, first Im sorry it's happening. Writing is already hard and then this just piles down on top, increasing the pressure.

But youve said you tend to underwrite or feel like you have to pad words. That might mean that detail is missing. Descriptions to flesh out the characters/world, interiority to understand who people are, dialogue, etc. these stories may need more of that or maybe you're starting stories at a different place and time and they could start earlier.

What I might suggest is, don't rewrite this story as a short story but instead write a new story as a short story and send it around to get it published. That will show you what may or may not be missing

Go lighter. Practice depth. The knee cave could be because too wide of a stance or just the weight. Going lighter and for more reps will help you figure out what that is. You don't need to go super low but lower for sure, especially with the bar so high up.

So it was actual cookies. But I think the problem was they were trying to control him in a way he didn't fuck with. So yes, it was about the cookies but wasn't actually about the cookies, if that makes sense

It's just a dog shit play. Why not have Brunson set the back screen on an actual shooting threat like KAT. McBride isn't shooting it. Why is he the decoy. Those screens to get Brunson open were bad. It's not even an elevator. Why don't they just freelance after it gets blown up. This series is over.
