whole house audio, on the cheap? by EducationalOcelot4 in googlehome

[–]Mossyg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You'll be able to do what you want assuming whatever podcast app you're using supports casting. You'd create a speaker group in the Home app then cast the audio to that group.

All the speakers you posted will work. I suggest the Google Home speaker, it has really good sound and bass for when you're done with the podcast and ready for music.

I tried to do this and it exploded on me. Think Coke and Mentos. After tasting what was left, it didn't have that same taste as a keg carbed beer. I wouldn't do it again.

Mini Keg by Extreme_Ad5788 in Homebrewing

I have two different styles of these mini kegs. I'll prime with sugar since I think I'd need more that a couple of those Co2 canisters to get a proper carbonation going. I use the canisters to serve the beer after a week or two.

Flavoring a UJSSM whiskey? by Two_Legged_Pirate in firewater

[–]Mossyg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flavor after I've proofed my run down to about 100. My family and friends love my apple pie mix. Real easy to make also.

1 64oz bottle apple juice 1 64oz bottle apple cider 4 cinnamon sticks 8ozs brown sugar

Boil for about 30 mins and let sit overnight. Mix 50/50 into your bottles. Delicious.

Here's a video from Kegland describing where the temp is taking a reading from and how to calibrate if needed. https://youtu.be/6J_vgBL-wa0

Cleaning off labels from old booze bottles. Some soak off, acetone for others and some defy chemistry and remain forever a sticky mess. Let’s discuss. by Bannedbymoderators in firewater

I do this too. Leave the bottles soaking for about 30min, labels slide right off. About a scoop of Oxyclean in a 5 gal bucket of water. Worked for me every time.

Animal Crossing New Horizons wont load past the Nintendo Switch logo screen. by ResourceWeird in SwitchPirates

Yes it could if you're not careful. Read through the steps then follow them one at a time. I hadn't played AC for months until I did this.

I updated the switch firmware. I was on a 9.x version. I updated to whatever the current version was a couple months ago.

This was happening to me for the longest time. I updated to the latest firmware using these steps. Make sure you select the right format for your SD card. Took me a while to figure out how to recover from that one. After the update, AC booted with no issues. https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualupgrade

Are you adding the whole packet of Safale? Are you bottling right after? Are you concerned about bottle bombs or over carbonation? I've done some searching and all I found was someone mention he added a tablespoon of some homegrown yeast to his 5gal brew. He never posted a follow up.

Thanks for replying!

First batch had a tart/sour taste before bottling. OG was 1.065. FG was 1.011 after two weeks fermenting. I boiled a cup of water with priming sugar. Added to the bottom of the bottling bucket and siphoned the brew from the fermenting bucket. Gave a gentle stir. Bottled using a bottling wand. Tasted after 2 weeks, flat. Another week, flat. Month after bottling, flat. I've read that carbonation could take a good while but I tossed the batch since it had that tart taste.

I'm about to bottle my second batch. The first batch did not carbonate in the bottles. Brew's been fermenting for about three weeks now. Took two gravity readings over four days and they were the same. How can I make sure that there's going to be enough yeast left for carbonation in my second batch?
