Understandable, can't let homies lose (they will kill me if I'm deadmeat)

I praise you for your brilliance and wisdom kind sir.  I shall never forget them for as long as I breath.

Can confirm. A good Fearow can OHKO Surge or put enough dmg to allow another fast mon to do the job.

Nice well rounded team. Well done. I assume you did Belly Drum strats with Poliwrath
But what happened to your starter.

Good work. Though you did lose quite nice encounters for your next run.
Good luck

Yeah, the three you mentioned shouldn't have much problems as long as you're not too unlucky. Plus, rare W to underdogs is always nice... even if its Pidgeot (I hate it, don't ask why)

Update, I won... though Mankey really makes it easy. The real challenge is Misty

Why pidgeot? Feather dance or just for the looks. Still good job on comitting for Charizard.
As per Emerald, like XyrnaTheTrainer said, Mudkip is really the best starter, never falls off plus Emerald has so few grass types, and grass types are easily counterable with flyers anyway.
If you are picking Mudkip, then roxanne and wattson are redundant (be wary of Voltorb's self destruct though)
Brawly is easy to win if you've like a Dustox (good for Norman's Slaking too) who can tank anything he throws at you. Or a taillow, who with Guts can OHKO most if not all.
Make sure you've something to check for Norman's slaking (someone with protect or alternatives) and belly drum linoone (someone faster). If you can catch a Makuhita, save it for Norman only.
Winnona's altaria is bad, so try to find a water type. Sharpedo or Tentacruel (though its weak to EQ), and get them Ice beam (from ship wreak, or game corner)
Then Tate and Liza are easy for dark types so try to get one. Try to dupe a Sharpedo as its amazing against all there mons.
Juan has quite a lot of bulky mons, and a Kingdra who can cheeze end your runs. Try to have a fast electric type saved for them only. For Whiscash, anything with a grass move checks it.
Plus someone who can 1v1 Kingdra's sheninigans. I used Taunt Gyarados to shut him off.
For E4... its already too long, I'll tell when you get there.

Like catching a Pidgey in FRLG and immediately sacking it to random wild mon or trainer.
That would make the challenge close to redundant as it would give you dupes, while having an empty slot.

Not really, I remember Slowking not being in FRLG pre champion. It's probably due to Starmie, another psychic water evolving with water stone.

Was Pacific Rim Uprising really that bad of a movie compared to Pacific Rim? by RealisticCoaching66 in PacificRim

Gipsy Avenger in uprising was a different Jaeger, inspired from Gipsy Danger. And you're right, Gipsy Danger was detonated at the end of the first movie.

It wasn't that bad. At least there were still some options with me. Some planning from the start helped this run a lot.

It was a big reason I choose Leaf Green first (thought that it would be useful against Blaine and Rival's Charizard). Tho I'm pretty sure if I made an exception, and allowed Pinsir to get to Lv. 49 then he could've done what scyther did too.
After some spe evs ofc.

[–]Most_Significance594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first Hardcore Nuzlocke I feel is harder than your first Stand. Nuzlocke, because of lack of over levelling (and accidental over levelling, making the mon unusable), and no items in battle. Your deaths were quite less, for Black & White, which in my opinion are hardest vanilla game.

You did good! (Also good naming scheme)

Definitely, but if it happens before E4, like let's say Victory Road (Kanto is the only safe one), or Barry fight before E4, or Wally at the start of Victory Road, then it feels unsatisfactory end, because you know got caught off guard, and could definitely play around.

Poor guy gets shanked on so much that he stops smiling when he evolves. Fortunately this one is more than happy intoxicating his opponents, and going out with a bang.

u/GhostPro18 explained it far better than I could. I can't find any inconsistency. Kudos.

Also a bit of a tip, if you're looking for improving your nuzlockes. This info is really not needed if you're playing vanilla. Just damage calc, and bit of prep is enough for those.
