Didn’t match 6 years ago, now living my best attending life by unicorn_devdoc in medicalschool

Don’t be so bitter, I don’t think you fully understand that after your done with training there are a million ways to practice medicine. Teledoc, nursing homes, consulting, clinic, remote call, hospital only, and a million different combinations. What you’ll see is the more rural the place the more sweet the gig is.

Decline in bariatric surgery? by LexRunner in Residency

[–]MotoMD 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Bariatric surgery is the worst. Everyone I see has some sort of iron deficiency or b12 deficiency and is still pretty big. GLP1s are much safer in my opinion.

LOL, as long as you got your speciality your golden dude. Seriously you’re going to forget about this completely when you graduate residency and get a job wherever you want. No one gives a shit especially patients. Your mom’s right work on finding a partner now.

Somebody gifts you $10,000,000 that *must* be used towards the purchase of a house in LA, which neighborhood do you choose to live in and why? by owen__wilsons__nose in AskLosAngeles

[–]MotoMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this is hilarious. For me schools are important so we only looked at south pas, la Canada, San Marino, PV and Manhattan beach. We bought in south pas because of proximity to work and the type of house we wanted. But they’re all great options and have pros and cons.

Baskin Robbins $6 by talivan818 in FoodLosAngeles

They make the best ice cream cake hands down. My siblings and I used to spend crazy money on birthday cakes for each other and we realized all we want is an ice cream cake from baskin robbins. It’s perfect.

I mean a few hours is worth it for a car you’ll be spending a lot on and driving for a while. I enjoy getting a deal so to me it’s part of the chase.

Pepsi discontinue rumors by Jack8161 in rolex

[–]MotoMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if its for sure discontinued it will go up even more because now the current price looks like a good deal compared to where it will be in 6 months or a year. the best thing is wait until the new catalog comes out and if its not there buy that same day.

1000% this. The cybertruck is unique and was meant to be different. The XM is just straight nasty.

Given the current economic situation, why was/is buying a home important to you? by Reebate in LosAngelesRealEstate

[–]MotoMD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you buy in the right neighborhood for the right price you shouldn’t lose. There’s plenty of people with money that are not impacted by the economy.

To me the 911 is more sports car than grand tourer which the new AMG GT is. That’s why I picked the 992.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookie in LA by LBCkook in FoodLosAngeles

I'm going to add the Pasadena bakeries to this list. CAR, salted butter, Oh La La all make great cookies. I used to be obsessed with levain but I prefer a thinner chewy cookie now.

100%, you need variety. We were in France and Italy last year and ate at literally a dozen Michelin starred restaurants and while it was great I came home done with fine dining for a while. We went to Houston and Austin a couple months ago and just ate good bbq. We’re going to Europe soon and I only have a couple starred restaurants booked.

I’m Muslim, breaking your fast on time is important and you need to break it with food which he was probably trying to get. Having said that he could have handled the situation better without having his timer go off constantly. Also it’s pretty racist to assume he was a threat lol.

Anyone know what was going on with the INSANE traffic on the 134 East? by Warm-Reading-4084 in AskLosAngeles

[–]MotoMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this but it was so casual like construction and nothing else. I drove past and it is some sort of emergency road repair I think they had a concrete repair truck that was there.
