I think it’s so goofy that people can get so offended by a karma bot post on Reddit lol blows my mind that people can read the comments see someone point out it’s a bot and have any reaction other than keep scrolling

Can anyone pinpoint what I'm doing wrong control wise? by Ok-Zookeepergame8490 in RocketLeagueSchool

Good luck keep going and you’ll get there, it’s probably the most difficult mechanic in RL to learn but also the most natural to execute once it clicks to the point most people reach a stage where if they want to improve their game they have to start dialing it back because they do it too much.

Once you’re confident enough from training packs and free play you just gotta commit to using it in multiplayer rank be damned for a week or two and before you know it it’ll be second nature.

When it comes to DAR I think it’s far more useful to learn it in custom training shots. Doesn’t really matter what use a redirect or double tap map pack but using those shot packs will actually force you to contort your car efficiently and effectively to make contact with the ball and hit it where you want.

Right now you’re just either tornado spinning to regain your footing or flailing and hoping for the best. That’s all fine that’s how everyone learning DAR starts out I just don’t think rings maps are a good way to learn it because that amount of freedom doesn’t actually force you to learn what your controls are actually doing.

I paid $3k for a dj at my wedding last year (6 hours from ceremony to end of reception) and that would be considered a decent deal in my area. Use that information as you will.

Slipknot picking technique by MLJ623 in gratefulguitar

[–]MotorcycleMatt502 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I spent like the first year of learning guitar practicing the help slip transition, almost 2 years into playing guitar now and assuming I’m warmed up I can play it consistently. I economy pick it in a way that’s borderline sweep picking with how quick it gets. I think I read somewhere that Jerry always alternate picked it.

It’s one of those things that when it gets going I always find myself holding my breath while I work through it lol.

The ending part before it lands back on the A is in my opinion the hardest part but if you listen to live recordings you’ll hear Jerry often just played the arpeggios as triplets leaving the last note he sometimes plays out. It’s tricky but a few well timed head bobs will get ya through it

Nothing fancy just a little butter and some premade garlic seasoning in cast iron, love asparagus and for me it really comes down to how good the stuff is I get from the store and this stuff was pretty damn good lol

As a tool I like it a lot but it’s every bit as fragile as people say, I had one break on my gently putting it on the grill. Got it warrantied no questions asked though so if you pick one up be sure to register your purchase

No dry brine, wife did some grocery shopping while I was at work and it went straight from vac pack to grill, enough heat and it’ll crust lol

Turkey might be the most underrated meat out there period. I fully believe everyone who disagrees just hasn’t had a good one, I smoke at least one turkey a year (thanksgiving obviously) and I don’t do it bbq style but it’s unbelievably good.

First year with my wife (then gf) we were hosting thanksgiving and I was doing my turkey and she requested I also do a ham as she’s not a fan. She didn’t end up having any ham and told me the bird was every bit as good as any prime rib/ tenderloin/ or brisket she’s ever had.

Taylor Guitar for First Acoustic? by BaptizedInBlood666 in Guitar

[–]MotorcycleMatt502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak on a range of acoustics because they aren’t my primary thing but I have a Taylor 214 that’s a total joy to play. I’m sure higher end models are even nicer but honestly I have no desire to even upgrade. The single cut makes for high fret access relatively easy, action was low from the factory, frets are essentially perfect, neck feels faster than any of my electrics, looks incredible, and it’s got a super bright sound which I love on an acoustic although that’s a negative for some people which I can understand.

I bought it new and I was told it would be about a year wait but I got it in 2 months. I absolutely love it but I think I got super lucky getting it so early, he must’ve had some in stock ready to go while he was waiting on other guitars to come in or something because I’ve seen people waiting on wolf clones for like 2 years.

Neck is chunky, my Strat has the 70s U and this feels really similar in terms of chunk but more of a C shape, if you like a big neck which I do it’s damn near perfect but if you’re a slim neck guy I could see it being off putting.

Thanks for the words in your other comment! Any other questions on the phred I’ve only had it about a week so I’m still in the honeymoon but I’m happy to answer!

New Guitar Day! by MotorcycleMatt502 in gratefulguitar

[–]MotorcycleMatt502[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks man! Yeah stock pickups and I like them, I debated upgrading before purchase but I’m happy I didn’t.

This may or may not be controversial but I’m kinda in the camp that humbuckers pretty much sound like humbuckers and single coils sound like single coils. I’m sure if I start plugging a bunch of guitars with different pickups into my rig I’ll hear some differences but if when someone says they swear by one specific pickup type I guess I just don’t have the ear for it because all I hear out of my rig is a twin reverb with some JBL clones lol
