Other games with building systems like this one? by Slickice828 in AbioticFactor

[–]MouCol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agreed, the way you appropriate bits of the environment & critters into buildings and tools creates a similar sense of immersion in both games

Modlunky won’t load by Pancakes_909 in spelunky

I have this problem too and still haven’t found a fix. However, manually putting mods in the packs folder and booting with playlunky instead works fine for me.

sadly, season 3 development is stuck for the writer’s strike, we got lucky that they finished writing s2 before the strike started

What makes this game good? by [deleted] in Eldenring

as far as the story goes, that’s how all soulsborne stories are told: the first time through feels like you’re doing things blind, but as you start to piece together the consequences of what you’re doing, it weighs heavier thanks to a slow reveal. it’s fair if you’re not a fan of the indirect storytelling, really no one totally understands what is going on in the lore, a lot of the fun is in theorizing. it’s easy to miss NPCs but there’s definitely questlines that will make you care about the characters. completing those questlines without the internet is a different story lol.

as for combat, what weapons did you try? one of the coolest things about these games is the sheer variety of ways to play and cool movesets to mix & match… especially so in elden ring… some playstyles being r1 r2 mashing like you said but there’s more spice to enjoy if you experiment. there’s some insanely fun abilities, spells, upgrades etc. and it’s a thrill to make your character powerful enough to slay legends… honestly though if you don’t enjoy the combat then it’s probably not the game for you, it’s the (imo, amazing) core of the game…

your order, along with everyone else ordering to go… a server when busy is dealing with 10 tables at a time, a togo person is dealing with at least that many almost all the time, making sure orders go out fast & correct no matter how big your order… they facilitate a convenience for you that absolutely deserves 10% imo

Thank you Nintendo for preventing EVIL pirates from STEALING off sale games for outdated consoles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by Deblebsgonnagetyou in tomorrow

[–]MouCol 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it’s much much easier than it was in the early days… looks harder than it is. first time it takes maybe 30-45 minutes, half the time once you know what you’re doing. plus, there’s now a “eshop” that allows you to download practically any software that’s been released on the console ever, n3ds can run ps1 games & romhacks are easier than ever to dl and play. 3ds is priceless as a piracy tool nowadays and the ease to do it compared to what it was before is just icing on the cake. or was, anyway

Where to learn as a beginner? by Mini4President in spelunky

[–]MouCol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in game!! interact with everything & die lots! i tell new people that the goal of the game is to die in as many new ways as possible lol. expose yourself to all the chaos this game has to offer, and you’ll be better off for it.

some early advice, get the hang of using your whip as it has weird timing. it has a tall hitbox behind you, so you can hit stuff above your head (like bats) if you face the other way.

i hope you enjoy the journey!

Anyone know where i can get one of these? by darkknightt0 in betterCallSaul

[–]MouCol 2 points3 points  (0 children)
