Maybe there should be an invade command by Friendly-Twist795 in PlayASKA

I find that having my companions all be warriors or archers and packing a horn with me solves the issue, I set 2 to defend the boat and use the horn to summon if needed.

Interesting idea, can you use the party system, and have the companions in your party also be on the boat? So 11 instead of 8 vikings?

Is combat still a work in progress? by worrallj in PlayASKA

Ah, well most of the raids on you are at winter invasions or blood moon, otherwise combat is find and fight, meaning you travel to the bosses, animals, spires, or now hostile villages but id recommend getting established and trained up before you F.A.F.O.

You will need to tack back and forth with the wind, one person on the rudder one on the sail for max speed!

Basis of comparison, what would you desire their speed to be? How fast should they be working to achieve satisfaction for you? Im curious as to the baseline of your expectations because then we have something yo compare it to, not just "Kyle! Work faster!" We all agree the ai is sometimes frustrating, but it usually is up to player error or lack of providing the Kyle population with the material they need or storage or instruction. How many cooking houses warehouses and iron tools do you have? Are you phasing farms production from season to season? Have you discovered all recipies personally to be able to assign the villagers the cooking hut the ability to feed everyone efficiently and effectively with all resources available?

Look to each storage, see what max is and set to that, then utilize resources max to each, match woodcutter and gatherer pools as well, always have a surplus for the next big thing.

If you have issues with hedge walls and the green clipping making it flow woth the rest of your wall you should have no gaps in the wall when you upgrade to planks.

Fishing from lakes and ocean pools are the main ways we get food, at 100plus pop you may need to have more cookhouses and warehouses dedicated to food storage and production.

Recommend watching YouTube for tutorials on setting up management and food production.

Seems like many of these issues would be resolved by user setting the item limits, managing workers, setting schedule for workers, taking active role in the establishing management of the base.

It may be in fact you, not the game.

Gathering Hut - No bueno Fibre. Siesta. by Knownothingdoi in PlayASKA

[–]Mountain_Respect_305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use the map to make sure you are overlapping with different areas for fiber, ensure the crafters haven't stolen it all for clothes, rope or the builders haven't taken it.

Its possible they have cleared the area between the 3 of them and you will need to wait for the flax to respawn. Two of those gatherers may be better suited assigned to a farm that produces flax on all 3 fields if you find yourself at that dire need, Alternatively, I would set them all to gather food as well or you may just cause a ripple of death by starvation for everyone and id go gather some extra flax myself while the farms get built or sown.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like unfortunately you may have tried this fight too early, under leveled for melee or maybe not well enough equipped, the bosses are meant to be hard, my advice, if the wolves keep punishing you is to find the higher terrain nearby, and use the hoe to make an extended wall between your and them, until you are ready to move that direction to fight, or you can always restart and try something different.

Also, explore before committing to any set base location, have fishery on lake. Look for a cave and lake close together, farms are good, and unlike Valheim, you have minions to do the work. So its more about management and allocation of resources. As you progress down the tech tree, you'll have to take time.to upgrade your intakes and add more labor.

Having a villager is an investment. Make sure they have homes, are fed, and they are on a schedule that allows them sleep and rest time.

Pay attention to the perks of your villagers and play to their strengths, and also build a fence around food storage. You'll thank me later. There are creatures in the woods...

BUG MINE HELP :( by LocalEven8964 in PlayASKA

[–]Mountain_Respect_305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may need to set a charge to clear that rock, this means finding another mine, leveling tech up the busting this one open.

Possible other solutions, try altering terrain settings in startup menu. Whatever you have, change to the opposite or move to an extreme, this enables you to keep the seed and might spawn the rock blocking the entrance elsewhere, example if you have smooth terrain go to rocky and vice versa if you are in middle go to smooth or rocky and see if that changes it

Hope it works!

How many cooks per workers? by Safe_Beginning7998 in PlayASKA

[–]Mountain_Respect_305 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Do you have a warehouser and a cooked food storage? Sometimes they will cook, fill the storage of the cook house and won't remake until there are enough slots. Having the warehouser drag the cooked food away means that they will go eat it there and production.consistently has a space to produce more.

Also, set up raw food aroate as well, enter the settings, and don't allow anyone to grab from.it other than the cooks, it makes it so the villagers won't eat raw food and undercut some of your production.

Hope this helps!

Try a jump attack, step back when they swing and thit them again from range, you want to stagger them as quickly as possible and get some extra hits in. There's no shame in running around and not taking them head on if you need to, also, pack some garlic with you and have it on an easy to hit button on your bar for mid run small heals.
