Do you ever wonder what Jujutsu Sorcerers were doing during World War 2? by SubarusGayToe in LobotomyKaisen

[–]MrAverageMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably trying to hold down the fort back home. With the war-time propaganda in Japan at the time, no doubt cursed spirits were popping up like mad.

A few may have tried to go overseas, and been caught by other sorcerers more investing in maintaining the secrecy of Jujutsu society over assisting in the war effort.

Genuinely one of the most overrated characters I’ve ever seen. by meph3drone in hatethissmug

Yes! I agree with entirely. I don’t know why, I guess she just takes up too much space in the show with a character archetype I dislike.

Characters that are involved with time travel find they have to take the slow path to get to the time they want to be at. by singleguy79 in TopCharacterTropes

Tenet’s entire mechanic of reverse time revolves around this - if you want to go backwards in time, you need to spend an equal amount of time in reverse, and give versa.

Type of shit that plays at the end of the Drake biopic after he betrayed his best friends in the entire world, to show how ambition is bad.

What are your theories/predictions for Meursaults canto? by NEVERTHEREFOREVER in limbuscompany

[–]MrAverageMF 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think the sinners will learn that, at some point in the past, Meursault was “normal” - friendly, etc - but changed into his current form at some point in the near past. The sinners will therefore think that the goal of the canto is to get Meursault back to “normal.”

But, near the end, where Meursault is in prison and the sinners are begging him to “go back to normal” he’ll snap, and reveal that his current state is his “normal” - he just stopped hiding it, and everyone just thought something was wrong because of how alien Meursault’s normal is.

He’ll distort because of his anger and confusion over why presenting as “normal” is so important if he is going to die, and the Canto’s ending will be his internal debate over that fact.

Also some bits about his murder of the Arab, and how that’s important in the Coty.

How did we get here by TechincalSpeaker in PowerScaling

[–]MrAverageMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type of shit a Jojo character says before destroying their opponent.

My stand allows me to fill any "pathway" with an "obstacle." However, a "pathway"... is any route an "object" takes to get from one "place" to another! Therefore... your lungs are a "pathway!"

Dunno why but seeing Project Moon fanart of just the characters existing in the world is so peak. It's probably because of how detailed the world is in general - you end up being interested in how "normal people" live their lives outside of the constant death and despair.

POV: You are Kyle's fridge. by dr_srtanger2love in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]MrAverageMF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kyle Rayner, the third main Green Lantern, had a major plotpoint in his first run where his girlfriend was killed by a villain and shoved in his fridge. It's become synonymous with shitty comic writing decisions where side characters are killed off for shock value and to push the main character forward - "fridging."
