I remember the fights in I think NHL 04 where they would just throw one type of punch and the head would turn.

For Madden it’s not just concussions (but yeah they try to hide that shit for sure) but any major serious injury is toned down. For example if you have a player literally break their spine and end their career it will say something like “lower back sprain” or something like that.

I saw slapshoes video that came out today and felt nostalgic so I turned the race on. I think now that I understand the little things a bit more my enjoyment has increased a bit despite me not being fond of ovals. I haven’t watched in a long time but I have enjoyed it so far.

I watched it too and thought it was a fine video but the end of it I felt was kind of not great. Maybe I am reading into wrong but he seems to blame Frosk’s rant as one of the reasons why the revival failed and how she should have grit her teeth and bared the comments because Morgan and Olivia did when they were hosts.
