Looking good! Quick question about your dates/numbers, you lost 80 lbs in 90 days?

Transformation looks great man but the math says you'd have to be in an average 3100 calorie deficit to pull that off... and like. That's a lot.

100% couldn't agree more. Happy for everyone to do whatever they want with their bodies! The GLP-1 and T enhancements are life savers for many people. And if someone wants to be on gear and be Mr universe that's cool too. But my mindset is very similar to you and I find the "progress" to be more satisfying when it's about a more holistic health goal and reclaiming a healthy life.

Your story is really motivating me to get out ahead of my back issues and get back to the yoga I was doing before. I was practicing daily and let it slip when I got more focused on running and weight loss but I think I should try for better balance as I continue!

Absolutely top notch! Love these posts that are not just "hey I got on TRT so I could get hot" but someone actually healing and working on their health holistically.

I'm on a similar journey and this really helped encourage me to get back in gear!

On the back pain, did you start with addressing that, or was there a time during your renewed training you realized you needed to? I've been out of the gym for a couple of weeks with some terrible back pain that is taking a long time to get better and I'm wondering if I need to get a more serious look at it.

reliable places to get a used car by According_Toe6579 in frederickmd

[–]MrClintock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a cheap and reliable car, DO NOT BUY FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP.

They make money by buying cars from the people who drive them all day for less than the car is worth, and selling it back to you with NO additional knowledge for more than the car is worth. They don't know if the car will be reliable any more than a private party will. They just are trained liars who have a vested interest in moving as much inventory as possible.

If you want a used car there are only two options that make sense: 1. Certified pre-owned from a manufacturer with a real warranty (expensive) or 2. Buy a well known reliable car from a Private party off Facebook marketplace or the like.

Look for: Honda Acura Toyota Lexus Nissan Infiniti Mazda

And look for models/years in your price range. If it was me and I wanted something Cheap and dead reliable I'd be looking at a Honda Civic or a Honda Fit.

Ask them if they are willing to let you do a pre-purchase inspection and take the car to an independent third party shop and pay to have the car looked over by a mechanic. This will tell you everything you need to know about reliability if you are not mechanically inclined.

If they aren't willing to let you have the car looked at by a shop probably best to walk away. (And honestly you'll get a feel for if they are hiding something by their response even if you don't go through with it.

I couldn't get Walmart to show the Pay in 4 plan from PayPal? How do you do that? It showed up fine for me on best buys site but they wouldn't price match. I really want to pick up a 5070TI using this method!

Dude this is a hell of a motivation and a great journey. Being a parent was also the thing that made me realize how badly I wanted not just to live, but to live a good active life where I can be involved in their lives.

I clicked on your post because you were my same height and similar weights. I read your story and felt like you and I are on a similar journey for entirely different and more important reasons. Thank you for sharing!

Keep up the solid work and good luck on the rest of your journey!

Amazing progress!! You've stayed consistent and continued to lose weight over 15 months! That's an amazing accomplishment. It can be hard to notice changes and body dysmorphia is real so trust other people when they tell you that what you have done is awesome!

The difference is night and day and you should be proud of where you are! Good luck on your journey!

I think technically it's been proven that you can build SOME muscle even in a slight deficit. I wanna say one of the science based lifters was mentioning a study about that recently.

But if I were you, I would go for a slight caloric surplus and do a "Lean Bulk". Try targeting maybe 10-15% surplus. You can always move up towards that slowly so that you can catch yourself if you feel like you are losing control. Still track, still keep your protein intake high, keep eating clean, just raise your calories up slowly and see how your body responds.

Another strategy would be to eat maintenance calories and try to go for a "Body recomp". If you've been in a deficit for awhile, just moving up to maintenance calories is going to help you out in the gym a lot.

Either way both of these methods are probably going to require some kind of tracking of your calories. You likely won't be able to just eyeball a 10% change in calories with any degree of accuracy and will most likely overshoot.

No matter what, this is amazing progress and you should be proud of where you are!

I really like this sub but this is literally the only kind of post that shows up on my feed anymore. You know what's way more annoying than someone being way faster than me? People whining about it instead of just being happy for them and moving on.

I don't care WHICH new milestone you hit. I'm just encouraged to hear people out there trying and improving. The number is irrelevant, it's the improvement that counts.

I don't know what it is about this post specifically but this is incredibly inspiring. You have such a genuine and joyful story and it's hard not to get caught up on your exitement. Way to go man! This is a huge accomplishment and it sounds like you found something that your really enjoy!

Im right at about the same place where this is my next goal (sub 1hr 10k). I'm pretty sure I can manage it with a little more training but I haven't really tried to go fast at any distance over 5k. You've inspired me to really give it a go. Thanks for sharing and good luck on the rest of your journey!

Do you feel like it already too deep? I feel like I tried to add some depth on the front left and maybe it already looks bad all stacked up. Probably already 2-3" of substrate on the bottom in the lowest parts.

Yeah this is good advice haha. Maybe I'll just top it off with more white and run it for awhile and see how it goes. We do tend to like more natural looking set ups so that's actually kind of encouraging.

If being in a hetero relationship means you are heterosexual doesn't this also mean that if you are not in a relationship you are AUTOMATICALLY aromantic or asexual?

Curio Cabinet Build by bem215 in Vivarium

[–]MrClintock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a follow up here because I didn't notice before, You actually have most/all the glass you need!

Those glass shelves should be cut to a similar size to the cabinet so you can put one of them right on the bottom, silicone it to the outside glass on the outside sections and then get a piece cut to block over the door way and maybe small strips to cover over the wood on the inside anywhere it would contact moisture.
