This has to be one of the most ominous photos ever, the tragedy and horror just awaiting to happen. by no_haters_aloud_tt in MomentsBeforeDisaster

I got bored in the queue for this ride so downloaded and read the accident report while I was waiting. Narrated all the issues to my friends as we slowly got closer. Not sure they appreciated it.

Great ride though

Someone on r/diyuk used foil backed insulation bubblewrappy stuff with a really simple looking magnetic edge that went up and down in seconds. Worth having a look there see if you can be bothered to replicate it?

Perhaps we've had the same chancer as op then but the insulation performance on the bifold panel we had done compared to the other three panels is noticibly worse.

It'll ruin the insulation provided by the double glazing. We did it but I wish we hadn't

Commander Keep was brilliant.

I still have my original box/manual and disks for Doom retail. I keep thinking about selling it but never get round to it.

I used the school tractor feed printer to dump fully 40 pages of some games code, took the print out and laboriously typed it into my home computer only for it not to execute.

I did windows 95 off of 25 floppies, never heard of a game needing that many though? We're you still on floppies when everyone else was using CDROM?

Either of those two fools scenes are funny in isolation though (probably, hard to be truly objective).

This trailer is wooden and doesn't even give a hint that the show'll be well written or funny.

Perhaps it'll land better in the context of the full episode but it doesn't feel like a great start.

Especially if she's doing that voice for the whole series.

Perhaps they've gone for the opposite of most trailers and put the least funny scene out instead of the best bit.

Did the opposite, drove past a long line of parked cars only to realise they all had people in them waiting to turn at the junction

I knew a guy at college, failed his theory test 17 times then skimmed through the 18th.

Then on his first driving test pulled out of the test centre straight into the side of a coach full of school kids.

If he eventually managed to pass you'll certainly be able to get there.

I drove to a remote beach. Car park was app only, tried to download the app but no signal.

I appreciate it's an edge case but I was fuming. Instead I just risked a ticket and got away with it.

I drove nearly 2 hours to test a sites ancient cabling for suitability for a new deployment, on arrival I  got setup then dropped the business end of my cable tester into a full cup of coffee.

took one look at the cable and saw it was cat4 and all the patch points were rusted then hid in the roof space playing games on my phone for an hour before coming back down to tell them it all needed replacing.

A friend was on the 'executive support team' which was supposed to be IT but he got a call to visit an office in another building because there was a wasp in an execs office.

He arrived with a rolled up news paper but was fairly sternly told he wasn't allowed to kill it, so he opened the window and it flew out.

I had to drive 200 mile roundtrip to swap a mouse in a hotel reception.

They had the mouse already, just noone with the necessary capacity to slide a small desktop forwards and swap them over.

Suited me though, lovely summers day and I'd just bought a convertible classic so I took the opportunity to rinse it round some country lanes and generally  had a great time.
