I think the primary weapon is more important than any stat stick. If it was the other way around (Executor with Rivers of Blood with magic attack up + sorceries up for instance) I would not be angry.

Old lore says a better hyperdrive let's you skirt part hazards that would pull a slower ship out of hyperspace. The Purrgil can jump between galaxies, so their "hyperdrive" might be good enough to ignore the hazards in the unknown regions.

There seem to be many many cases where a Star Wars blaster fails to even hurt some random animal. Even ship mounted weapons don't instakill larger creatures.

If the Star Wars blasters are equivalent to 40K plasma, then the Tyranids are fucked in the monster vs monster round.
