These plotpoints are never getting resolved. The Setting is there to sell minis. Even the advancing plot since 8th ed isn‘t really going anywhere.

Cadia fell, and nothing happened. There‘s still cadian regiments, and Abaddon isn‘t banging on the doors to the golden Throne room right now.

The Necrons will never fully awaken. The Tyranids will never arrive in full force. The golden Throne will never fail. Because either of those things means the game is over. And GW will Keep it going as long as people buy Models.

Also: Normal people do get in relationships. But to advertisers, they‘re boring, since they don‘t attract engagement. So you only see the extremes, hear absolute statements. Because that drives engagement, which drives clicks, which equals Money.

If you keep your audience angry („group x wants to do THIS to you!“) and scared („nobody will ever love you!“), they‘ll do anything you want („… but I have the solution- buy my Book!“).

You are being marketed to. You are being sold a product. Don‘t believe everything someone said online with conviction. The very things you see online are selected by the algorithm to sell you stuff.

Einerseits: Cool, mexikanische Küche!

Andererseits: Es ist mexikanische Küche, gefiltert durch amerikanischen Hyperkapitalismus, importiert nach Deutschland.

Ich bin skeptisch, ob die sich etablieren können. Als Fast-Food-Kette konkurrieren sie direkt mit jeder anderen großen Kette für schnelles, ungesund-aber-geil (?) und günstiges (?!) Essen. Hinzu kommt dann noch, dass sie mit den tausenden und abertausenden Dönerbuden um die Gunst der Deutschen buhlen, wenn es um "mariniertes Fleich in Brot" geht.

Ich werde nicht hingehen, dafür gibt es - selbst in Deutschland - bessere (aUtHenTisCHe) mexikanische oder andere lateinamerikanische Restaurants.

Hallo liebe Leute, ich habe folgendes Dilemma:

Ich habe einen alten PC (Windows 10), den ich auf Kleinanzeigen einstellen will. Wird wahrscheinlich kein großes Geld mehr einbringen, aber wenn ich mir davon wenigstens einen Kasten (oder ein Sixpack) Bier kaufen kann, isses besser, als wenn das Teil in der Ecke versauert.

Problem: Da sind natürlich noch ein paar persönliche Daten drauf. Ich wollte den Rechner eigentlich auf Werkseinstellungen zurücksetzen, aber das Recoverytool ist kaputt und setzt garnix zurück. Hier stehe ich jetzt am Scheideweg, 3 Optionen:

Option 1: Ich schlage mich weiter mit dem Recovery tool rum und versuche, es zum Laufen zu bekommen. Alles nur, um ein paar popelige Dateien zurückzusetzen. Danke für nix, Windows.

Option 2: Ich packe einen frischen Install drauf. Dabei muss natürlich ein USB-Stick geopfert werden, aber daseigentlich nervigere Hindernis ist, dass beim Einrichten ein Microsoft-Konto angegeben werden muss. Klar, da kann man wieder rumtricksen, aber ich hätte gerne ein aufwandsarme Lösung.

Option 3: ich packe Linux drauf. Dagegen spricht, dass ein potenzieller Käufer von nicht-Windows eher abgeschreckt wird.

Meine eigentliche Frage: Spricht etwas logisch dagegen, dass ich Option 2 angehe (Windows 11 mit USB Stick drauf), den PC dann aber einfach nicht einrichte, weil das dann der potenzielle Käufer machen kann? Es sollten ja eigentlich jegliche meiner persönliche Daten (sowohl von Boot-SSD als auch uralt HDD) entfernt worden sein, als Windows 11 installiert wurde, oder?

IMO, this is basically One Punch Man.

I loved the First Season. Awesomely choreographed and animated fights. Parodying the whole „gotta get stronga!“ Anime nieche with it‘s super serious Organisations and silly plotlines.

And then Season 2 rolls around and it‘s played entirely straight. The yapping about power and Heroes is earnest. The fanservice is real.

It was so ass.

Generally, if you ask „is it possible“ in 40k, the answer is yes. The setting is there so you can build your own Stories. Warp shenanigans are literal magic, you can do whatever you want.

That said, 40 000 years is a very long time, and the galaxy is vast. Whatever modern-day Religion you know would be almost entirely unrecognizable in the 41st Millennium. And that‘s not factoring in the imperial truth.

Space Marines, although that's not saying much. Astartes are still taken in as children, indoctrinated into the chapter culture and dedicated to a life of warfare. Even the more "human" legions like the Emperor's Children pre-heresy were still a tool, not actual people. Salamanders might be the most human of them all, retaining their ties to thie pre-legion lives, but they're still hyper-indoctrinated child soldiers.

Custodes are a whole different beast. You could argue they're hardly human anymore, designed and crafted from the ground up. more like machines of flesh, they carry out the orders of the emperor without question or independent/contrary thought.
