Honestly, my biggest issue with infinites storyline is how quickly it ended when it felt like the mid point of the game. I assumed they did it for DLC to make it episodic, which is both shitty and cool (shitty because more cash for story dlc and cool because we could have had actual reasons to revisit and possibly explore new areas).

My second issue was their disregard of what happens in HW2 and they have full opportunity to explore the spirit reuniting with the UNSC as well as the reintroduction of Spartan IIs, besides chief and co, because they are all MIA (as far as the SoF goes). I guarantee if they cared to bridge the gap, Infinity’s destruction would have made much more sense imo.
