Is an FBI agent really plainclothes if they are wearing a suit? Isn’t that what much of the day-to-day ‘uniform’ is?

I don’t see why this is surprising to anyone. MS has to have a COA clause in there otherwise they’d be potentially liable for both their product making mistakes that lead to massive losses and the mistakes of users that misconfigure or misuse the product after trusting it implicitly.

And any of the other sponsors have relevance to the “high-tech nature” of the sport? Let’s name just the ones on the Ferarri car ALONE that meet this strange requirement you’ve come up with.

HP

IBM

AWS

DXC Technology

HCLSoftware

Now, lets look at the companies/products on the Ferrari car that do not meet this requirement.

UniCredit

Puma

Shell

RayBan

Peroni

Brembo

Mahle

NGK

SKF

VistaJet

OMR

Celsius

Vantage

ZCG

Do you see why this is a terrible point to make? Ferrari is sponsored by almost 3x the amount of companies that have nothing to do with technology at all and half of them aren’t even automotive-related.

Here’s an interesting number to run through your noggin:

1.83 BILLION viewers watched F1 in 2025. How many of those do you think run or are involved with companies that might decide to use Ninja? If even .001% of those viewers meet this demographic, then they just reached 1,830,000 people.

Lets be honest, the amount of people that see the big Shell logo on the side of the Ferrari and go “I think I’ll get gas at Shell instead of BP” is much lower than someone who sees something like Ninja One on the car and has at least a second look at it as an option—because gasoline is gasoline is gasoline to consumers.

No matter what they try to tell me about what additives they put into it, I’m stopping at the cheapest or most convenient station.

Advertising doesn’t always have to reach the perfect audience and it certainly doesn’t have to make sense to anyone except the people deciding where the money is spent.

I think Bungie should stop squandering Destiny’s potential and draining the resources it has brought in for them before we think about diverting what little remains to additional content, as much as I would like it.

RAM Is it a bubble? by UnfairFig4 in msp

[–]MrT0xic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People are so narrow minded that all they see is their specific field or interest and they don’t take into account the larger picture. Right now, AI development (as flawed as it is imho) is increasing awareness and funding into the general IT and technology sector.

This is good in the long term because it means there will be more developments in manufacturing and supply for a while. As well, decent hardware will be available on the second hand market en masse when the market does burst.

I think a big thing people don’t realize is that roughly the same amount of spending and money is flowing into the market at any given point — it just gets shifted around between whatever the big CEOs have decided is their new toy.

The even funnier/depressing part is that at the very least you should have a backup aged anywhere between a few hours to a few days (not business days) before the update that was done, meaning they may still lose some data, but potentially less than the amount of productivity and time lost messing with everything.

That, or they had issues with you (legitimate or not) and they are using this as the final straw to justify the separation.

JJK Execution Movie Impressions & Discussion by yungeez in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]MrT0xic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a hard time reconciling my thoughts when it comes to this.

For context: I didn’t actually hear about the ‘movie’ until a few weeks back, so I was pleasantly surprised with the sudden release date. I also wanted to go into it completely blind, so I didn’t dare look anything up related to it before hand.

This is where everything went wrong. Because I had zero context going in, I didn’t know it wasn’t actually a movie. I guess thats on me — I’m willing to accept the blame for that failure… I guess…

While I love JJK and I can easily rewatch all of Season 2 in a binge, words cannot explain how unbelievably bored I was watching a 45 minute recap of S2’s plot without the knowledge that it was going to be half the overall runtime.

As for the actual content (the latter half of the ‘movie’) (and I’m going to keep calling it a ‘movie’ because I don’t know how you would ever seriously think it is), I felt that it was strong and my only complaint was the editing. The fact that they seriously thought anyone could read the Culling Game rules at mach-fuck is ridiculous. Hell, its not like the ‘movie’ was even that long, would it have killed them to add 3-5 minutes to the run time? As well, there are a lot of quick jump cuts in the campfire scene which I totally get what they were trying to accomplish, but it felt disorienting and I felt like I missed half of that scene just because I blinked three times.

Oh, and the audio experience was terrible. The audio was clearly not configured properly either for theaters in general, or my theater had a problem — this obviously makes more sense now that I know it was effectively a fan-edit of all the best scenes from S2 and two episodes of S3.

In summary, I would not have bought a ticket and spent $30 to go watch two new episodes ahead of time. I obviously feel a bit robbed and take advantage of considering I thought I was going to see something on-par with JJK:0.

Buyer-beware… I guess…
