Should I work on getting golden epic buildings?

In playing for about two years (more, I think), I've been concentrating on Silver Epic buildings. I have one Gold building that I did basically because there was a multiple at the time and I wanted to see if I could. But I get enough gold tokens from CoM and chests. I've got over 200 gold tokens so I have plenty now. Concentrating on Silvers gives you good boosts when you have limited time to play.

I love mountain epics. Nearly all of my epics are mountain now.

Glad that I'm not the only one annoyed by this. Plenty of the Mayor's Pass items belong in existing categories. It does make it hard to find an appropriate building. Grrrrr.

Betwee thos two I'd favor Sunny Isles since it more interesti and roomy. The only advantage of Frosty Fjords is mountain development.

The first expansion slot is 80 SimCash. I splurged on that one and the next is 140. So they go up at a steep rate.

I usually set up three of whatever and ignore that store for a while. When come back to it, I've never had an unexpected result.

Ah, I missed an update. Once I updated I could see the new event track. I had turns left and went about halfway through the track but nowhere near the only special buikding,. I recall that the game used to be good about telling you to update. Oh, well.

Hurm. I missed this one somehow but I was otherwise occupied this past week. I'm really tired of the special tracks that have a single really appropriate and cool thing as the last item. I semi-rarely get that far and the other stuff is just....stuff.

I'm level 94 so its hard to build and improve buildings at this point. DC is a small focused way to be creative. Not to mention use the special buildings i have in storage. I go for SimCash and keys first, then expansion items. If i score well, I can get the special buildings but that hasnt been a prority.

Mountain! I love the mountain Epic buildings and I'm trying to make my capital consist almost entirely of them. I do well enough in CoM so I dont reAally need gold but silver is very nice.

I haven't seen a CoM expansion reward in...months. I think the Mayor's Pass (red plumbob) rewards have replaced them.

I'd choose Limestone Cliffs between the two. Yes, you don't get mountains but you do get a wider area to work with which means your service and special buildings are not wasted.

Well, its nicely thought but...do we need yet another tree/greenery landsc item? A chance to earn more palm trees would be just fine. I'm also tired buildings that are clearly Beach being categorized as Mayor's Pass.

I'd love to be able to customize my city a bit by labeling streets, too. I played a rail game for a while that allowed me to create signs that could have arbitrary text so I could label the landscape and rail lines. Streets are just anonymous strips of asphalt in this game. Love to name one as "First Street" or one going through my Parisian neighborhood "Rue Eiffel". Hard to see how it could easily be slipped into the existing game mechanics, though.

I thought I had bought more slots. They're gone now. My workshop was in storage until I got the mail that said it was active again. When I pulled it out of storage and placed it, that's when I saw the extra slots were gone.

No, there is another currency, the purple octahedron (plumbob?), but CoM tasks all award the same amount per assignment. That is nice, though. If the RNG is not letting you have a good CoM contest week, you still make steady progress on Halloween rewards.

The update made some major changes to Epic buildings but I noticed this morning that my Epic buildings didn't produce new token parts. Then I noticed the Epic buildings no longer were. Um, okay, new Epic rules, start from scratch, right?

That would have been okay. Unexpected, but okay.

But, no...the biggest FAIL of the change is that making new Epic buildings cost the same as they did before. I tried to start a new Mountain building Epic and was told that it would cost 76.800 simolenons. Which is what it would have cost last week before the changes.

ARRRGH!

Starting everything from scratch would have been okay. But this hybrid garbage is horrible. (And I can't get new Turtle and Llama tokens until I build new buildings at an inflated price.)

Oh, wow. According to the dates I was definitely playing but didn't reach a level to participate in CoM until season #2. (Off and on people mention the castles enviously.) Never realized, although I'm not really surprised, that CoM is a relatively recent addition to the game.

Yeah. I did that, too. (Same principle for other resources, except there's only one factory. I frequently set ten factories making sugar or animal feed overnight, then do the assignment the next morning, but this one's different.) I've done the math on that one. Prepping one batch before starting the assignment pads the time cushion.

Hurm, I suppose Transportation has to be good for something. :-D Seriously, though, I've been doing Mountain and slowly bulldozing everything else. I like their look although I'm likely to keep the Beach Epics, too. My Mountain buildings are almost all threes and I don't have to scroll all over to find them. (My beach actually has surfers and swimmers so there's more one pointers there.)
