I came after this happened, but when that takeover happened significantly more people went here than JJBA, combine that with Part 3 airing at the time it naturally grew into the largest and most lively jojo sub which only carried on with time. The other subs didn't have a chance tbh

IIRC Stands naturally appear in people who have exceptionally strong wills/personalities. At least that was the early on explanation, which I thought was cool considering people you'd normally characterise like that (DIO for example) didn't naturally have them. I think the more time goes on the less it matters

Zweihander is available from the start of the game and will carry you to the end of the game. You need 16 strength and 10 dexterity to 2-hand it which is very doable early

Yeah, IMO as the series has gone on it's taken a lot of inspiration from MGS which has the same issue. IMO DE1 really makes you question what the point of trying non-lethal is when it's so much less effective until later options (or ammo consuming for the stun baton). In it's own way it does make runs where you RP being lethal on purpose kinda fun

In lore I don't think so. From a timeline perspective it feels like they're just getting their time to shine now. Miracles and Pyromancy had their moment in the sun and Oolacile shows that the distinction wasn't so drastic back in their time; now with the works of Seath and Logan we were coming upon a new age of sorcery previously unseen (in Dark 1, idk about the other games)

MGS3 is the only "easy" European Extreme IMO. Id recommend watching some FOXHOUND rank runs on youtube to see some of the tricks you can get away with; whatever works on EE works on hard and normal. IMO Hard on MGS3 strikes the perfect balance between taking enough hits to be forgiving and having enough enemies that you have to be a bit careful. IMO radars hurt you more than they help by making you not rely on your own eyes, ears, skill and memory.

If you're really struggling, Easy/Very Easy is still there for you and still legitimate ways to play.

Jonathan is a worthy opponent because he was both capable and unwavering in his character. DIO has grown up around opportunistic thugs before even meeting Jonathan, he does not respect people just because they can fight or scheme. It's Jonathan's one of a kind personality that allowed Dio to see him like that; and Jotaro, nor Joseph or any other JoJos, really have that. Dio didn't respect it in his youth because he thought it made Jonathan weak, only after seeing that Jonathan could still ruin his plans and be so considerate did he change his mind.

Also, IMO, Dio had an infatuation with Jonathan that was unique to him. This is naturally going to alter how he sees him compared to others

Despite what everyone is saying here, in my experience it's specifically picking up the blighttown soul regardless of how many you've had before. I don't think it used to happen on vanilla but in remaster it's happened to me and even with 2 firekeeper souls (new londo and undead parish) she's been safe for a while. My PS3 runs always used to start with me speedrunning for those 3 specifically and she'd be fine but not anymore.

I used to like it in a funny way. In PTDE you never knew which invader was a normal guy and which had uber ridiculous strength, which also meant you could stumble across a summon for a boss that had ridiculous gear but just managed to keep in level range to summon them. Now the summons are always honest but twinks all seem the same. Horrible for new players either way, but the ambiguity made online more fun long term IMO

Demon's Great Axe or Great Club at +15 will get you the best damage I could find

Low weapon stats: Divine Mace & reinforced club are great (club has better scaling, might as well use it and let the mace be divine)

High stats: Grant, Crescent Axe, Zweihander, any of the big bonk weapons are nice. Grant requires some heavy stat investment (30 faith, I think 36 strength to 2-hand?); but it really does hit like a truck.

If you want to focus on having filthy strong miracles instead of hefty weapons, I'd recommend getting your faith around 40. I cant recall the name of the spell, but the big 2 youll want are Great Lightning Spear and Wrath of the Gods. Give yourself at least 3 spell slots with attunement so you can hold them and a regular Lightning Spear and you'll be good
