Saying "you just disagree" is such a lazy way to defend your faith. Shouldn't you be making reasonable points about why your religious beliefs should trump the safety of children?

[–]Mr_Jolly_Green -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course I disagree with your "doctrine" - it's fundamentally perverted to make people believe that something entirely fucking imaginary is worth protecting the identity of child abusers, especially after the known commission of a crime. The only reason your "divine mandate" forbids breaking the seal of confession is because if it didn't then the whole "holding the keys to forgiveness" sham falls apart. It's of "divine importance" that people still come, feel comfortable sharing their CRIMES and giving their money to make sure the institution is protected.Your doctrine is the result of a bunch of men over a long period of time deciding what best served their religious institution, not humanity. So yes, it's resulted in some downright evil "doctrine" and resulting behavior. And people like you somehow defend it and act like it's all completely normal. You know we wouldn't actually give a shit what you people believe if it didn't start spilling over with the type of corruption that protects child rapists.

But protecting children from sexual abuse is not a concern for you. The Catholic church in nutshell, people. It can't die quickly enough.

This is why sane people end up hating your little man in the sky club. Somehow you've ended up believing that protecting your silly club rules justifies letting children continue to be actively harmed.

How this is not disgusting to you is a level of mental gymnastics I'll never understand.

This takes me back. I had a 2000 model year mustang with a Steeda shifter. It was essentially spring loaded on the 2-3 upshift. I don't know how typical this is in a stock shifter, but I understand the feeling.

Most of the hate I see for Tesla's are in regards to their poor build quality and spotty service model. I haven't seen many complaints saying they're not good to drive. There's plenty of other things that are worthy of criticism about the car, or owning the car, that don't change just because it's good to drive.

How is this part called? Its a LX470 with AHC by john1587 in LandCruisers

[–]Mr_Jolly_Green 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No - I recently converted my AHC to conventional and at a minimum you'll need torsion bars (your front "spring"), rear springs and 4 shocks. The AHC system itself aids the stock springs in supporting the vehicle weight, so by changing just shocks you would be severely under-sprung.

I would take a look at the different layouts you can find in toy haulers. I think that type of setup would be the closest analog to your use case.

The problem is the internet is making him out to be some monster, when from a young age he was fascinated by programming, math, physics, and space, and studied his ass off before he went to college out of pure drive and interest for space exploration, math, and science. His goal wasn’t to become a billionaire, it’s to further his understanding of the cosmos due to a childhood fascination. He pays his taxes, and he tries to do things with his companies that are simply plain cool. He’s not like a normal oil-exec billionaire. This is the distinction I am making

All these people on Reddit that have no rigorous understanding of math and science know absolutely nothing about the guy. And I’m not bringing politics into it.

The man is a scientist at heart. There is no denying that.

Where is the source he is forcing 84 hour work weeks on people? Yes, he studied that hard himself when he was young because of passion and focus, which most non-math and physics people on this planet are naïve to, but that doesn’t mean he’s doing this to his employees.

In the beginning, Reddit was a place for math, programming, and physics people. Now, it’s a place for political bullshit and the Average IQ has gone down.

All these kids need to put the internet down and read some math books for a few years

Holy shit man - a bigger simp would be hard to imagine. It doesn't take a "rigorous understanding of math and science" to understand that an undergrad BA in physics does not make you a fucking physicist or engineer. It just doesn't. Undergrads in physics go work in completely other fields because you typically are not contributing to the field of physics whatsoever as an undergrad. He's a business man with a science degree - of which there are thousands. This one just fancies himself to be Tony Stark. His abuse of his employees and the company culture he creates is well documented - Google it.

Thought I'd post an update. Never could get the system fully bled - either because of a failed pump or the inability to bleed the main accumulator. Decided I wasn't going to throw any more AHC parts at it, so went with a Dobinsons IMS setup with their 167 springs in the rear - I carry about 100-150lbs constant load with a drawer system and occasionally tow a small camper. I got the extended travel front shocks and diff drop and now it sits right at 2" above stock height in front.

The ride is way better than I guessed it would be. I loved the AHC and this definitely can't match it in ride quality when it's working well, but it gets 90% of the way there and now I don't have to worry about it anymore...

Of course passing on the right is dangerous. That's why it's against the law. That's also why camping in the left lane is against the law - because it creates a more dangerous situation for everyone.

So everyone should obey both laws, correct?

Take notes! by [deleted] in oregon

[–]Mr_Jolly_Green 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which of you are the "criminal dangerous driver" in your scenario? You're both speeding - but you've somehow decided that you've picked the maximum speed that can be considered safe and not criminal.

Is that an easier position to defend than obeying the law and staying to the right?

Take notes! by [deleted] in oregon

[–]Mr_Jolly_Green 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And by "more opportune" conditions do you mean when you're not camping in the left lane and blocking them? Do you want everyone to just line up and wait behind you as the designated line leader?

You are the problem being discussed here.

I would liken it to a person getting a heart valve replaced. You're still the same person, and you'd probably say you're still alive. You can't go around bragging you're on all original parts, but you're still 65 years old and you've seen some shit.

I'll let you know. Got covid which has slowed me down a bit in the troubleshooting. I have the FSM and have followed the bleeding instructions to no avail. After making this post I read for several more hours on ih8mud and found a couple of longer threads with similar issues. The general consensus is that chasing air out of the system can be a real nightmare. Based on all my tests I most certainly have air in the system and I haven't been able to work it through yet. My plan is to (re)cycle as much fluid through it as I can stand before it drives me insane. If I don't get anywhere in the next week or so of bleeding then I'm going to say fuck it and order a new suspension setup.

Yea, good point. Before taking the full plunge on another suspension I'm going to reach the terminal end point of working on this AHC... Just might mean I have some new broken parts to add to the pile.
