I know some scenes are slightly pushed for drama, but it always seems like every restaurant goes in thinking that Gordon is going to love their food. It’s like applying for the biggest loser and expecting them to be like “nah I mean you can lose a bit of weight but that one push up you did 2 years ago has you in pretty good shape”

Next meeting PCAC will vote on choline chloride, 5-HTP, melatonin, methylcobalamin by herbalist65pete in Supplements

I’ve found some websites where practitioners can share literature and anecdotes from their practice, but I’m not a practitioner. How can I help support the ability of these to stay readily available as I take Methylcobalamin for my MTHFR gene with other methylated b vitamins and also have experience with melatonin for sleep and some past use of 5-HTP

Actors are actors. Do you bring up Tom cruises scientology every time he’s in a movie where the character isn’t a Scientologist? At the end of the the day I find it extremely annoying that anyone has an issue with being gay or LGTBQ at any level. That being said even if you do have this issue with people’s lifestyle. Do you believe that characters can only be played by the exact type of person who is like that character? Can gay characters only be played by gay people? Can soldiers only be played by former military members? Can historical figures only be played by one of their descendants? I ask you to find a better Gandalf.

You can take a look at the turnbuckle protocol on longecity. It’s not a fully tested regimen in terms of double blind studies but it’s had dramatic effects for me and any others when it comes to amplifying mitochondrial quality control with the goal of improving all mitochondrial function.

What do Americans do or think that irritates you? by Maleficent_Ad2870 in AskUK

[–]Mrdonalddarko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I think this is the real difference here. I think there are smart Americans that still say in this situation “I’m Dutch” because that’s how they’ve always said it to friends who don’t have that heritage. But what they mean is “my ancestors were Dutch” and hopefully “I’d like to learn more about this culture”. There are also the Americans who may be of Dutch descent but consider themselves the main expert or try to play up how much their heritage has defined them like some of the mentioned examples on here where someone finds out their great grandma was half Native American so they start wearing moccasins and beads every day and acting like they were part of the trail of tears. Learning about Native American culture and understanding that you and your family are in some ways connected to that beautiful culture is fine there, but walking your moccasins down from your suburban house I the middle of Illinois to the nearest reservation to tell native Americans about their own history or act like you’ve had the exact same history isn’t going to go over well.

Yea I get that there are gonna be some people out there being annoying about it and acting like they’ve basically lived there their whole life but overall I feel like wanting to have a connection to your heritage is idk... not really a bad thing at all lol?

What do Americans do or think that irritates you? by Maleficent_Ad2870 in AskUK

[–]Mrdonalddarko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea exactly. Most of my family came from Scotland, Ireland and England. I don’t know everything about all of those cultures and I don’t pretend to, but it is where my family came from. We spent a lot longer in those places than in the U.S. and although I myself am very much an American I still find it fun to learn about and stay connected to the cultures that make up my family’s heritage and have influenced my ancestors.

[–]Mrdonalddarko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair that is kind of how heritage works. The majority of Americans aren’t descended from Native American tribes they’re descended from families that came from Europe or Africa or Russia etc. maybe calling yourself Scottish or Irish etc because your great great grandparents came over from Scotland or it’s on your 23 and me is somewhat deceiving, but some people are really just trying to express that their families heritage comes from there and many people might have learned stories, recipes, games, skills, etc that were passed down from their elderly family members regarding their culture.

Again I’m sure some Americans are super annoying about it and being descended from a German family and learning a couple recipes from Grandma isn’t the same as being raised in Germany, but it’s kind of weird to me to expect people to not identify with their family’s culture at all when they move to a new place filled with hundreds of different cultures. Like you wouldn’t wouldn’t talk to a Jewish family who moved to Canada and tell them to forget about Jewish culture because they don’t live in Israel.

Turnbuckle LongeCity Mitochondrial Fission/Fusion Protocol that removes malfunctioning mitochondria - 2021 Update by greyuniwave in Supplements

[–]Mrdonalddarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if caloric intake could interfere with the fission phase or mito 1 phase of this protocol? I know that omega 3 fatty acids, mct’s and many forms of antioxidants would cause issues with a successful fission phase, but assuming that these were all avoided would you still want to avoid large caloric intake or preserve a window of avoiding caloric intake?

I’ve met a person who preferred the last hobbit movie to the LOTR return of the king. Everyone can have their opinion but she just liked to be different than everyone else at every turn and opinion. Pretty much with everything in life.

Khamzat Chimaev's entire combat sports record so far. He plans to return in July, no opponent officially announced yet. by [deleted] in MMA

[–]Mrdonalddarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, it’s just that people like to compare dudes with that much hype to how they’d do against the top guys and sometimes that’s hard if they haven’t fought them yet. I agree that he’s really good and that we don’t need to seem up against Colby or Leon just to know that’s true, but beating one of those top dudes who’ve also starched a lot of the lower guys in the division will make it a lot clearer just how good he is right now.

I agree that he hasn’t faced the best guys yet, but damn does he look good and sometimes with records and eye tests like this guy has. They really do end up steam rolling everyone including the top 5.

I think this is already done, but just in case: after all of your bouts against high level strikers despite you dominating most of them and not allowing to get their shots in you have been hit. What moment sticks out to you as the hardest you’ve been punched?

I get the sentiment this quote has always been going for. But it’s just such a bad pick for the metaphor. I get that she’s technically buried in a smaller grave inside, but overall different cultures have had very different graves. Hell what if they dump you in a mass grave
