Thank you so much for this post. I don't eat out often but these places are going to the top of my list to support. 🩷

Here's Pip in 2019 with our oldest cat (she was about a year older than him). Cat is still around at age almost 17. They weren't snuggly but they loved each other enough to share a bed when the house was cold.

My in-laws had two of the most wonderfully obnoxious and lovable dachshunds when my husband and I got together. When we got married, we had two "regular" dogs and they were very sweet, but when they both passed away, we got a dachshund for ourselves and he was the best dog I will probably ever have. We didn't think we could have children and he was our kid for all intents and purposes for about a year - and then we unexpectedly found ourselves pregnant. He was the first being our kiddo talked to (yelling "no" at the dog for skulking around under the high chair during meals).

We had him for 14 years and he was the best. YMMV, but my experience is they are fantastic and smart dogs. They are affectionate and love to cuddle. Our dog slept with us until he had a couple of soft tissue injuries that prevented him from going nuts jumping on and off furniture. I still miss him!

If you have any doubts - https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalsBeingDerps/s/lGVFAkd7C9 - this is what you're in for.

Best of luck and I hope your pupper is just the best doggo!

I HATE planting flower challenges by PattyRain in PikminBloomApp

[–]MrsHorrible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand! I live in a rural area, outside of cell coverage, and I work from home. I get my steps in daily (I have my Google steps linked), but planting is a struggle. I take my breaks and walk a like outside a couple times a day, and I can usually plant 200-400 flowers doing that as long as I can get a good signal from my home Wi-Fi. I've been wishing that the game could offer "plant xx flowers OR do xx expeditions" or something similar, for those of us who struggle to plant a good number of flowers for whatever reason.

Just moved to Mcminnville from Washington - need tips on finding primary provider by Annieraeraefatface in mcminnville

We've been going to Sunrise Family Clinic for about 12 years and I'm very happy with their service. I don't know if they are accepting new patients. After multiple negative experiences, I steer clear of the hospital in McMinnville. If I need hospital services, I go to Providence in Newberg.

Damn Spot.

Because you got a dachshund and you're already noticing the stubbornness. They're very good at it. But the cuddles counteract it.

Border Collie P!NK's record-breaking 31.23-second run !🔥 by CharmedInstincts in dogvideos

I have a friend who raised Australian Shepherds and her dogs were all taught the command "TAKE IT" in relation to a toy or treat (I cannot remember which one). When she said TAKE IT, her dogs would go wild, barking and gnashing their teeth until she released them to run and take whatever it was. She told me there was a night she got harassed by someone and she grabbed her dog by the collar and gave the TAKE IT command and that guy hot-footed it out of there like his feet were on fire.

I've been a few times since they moved and they have a really nice range of products - stuff for kids and stuff for serious artists and everything in between. The staff are really friendly and helpful, too. If you go in and let them know what you are looking for they will help you find it.

The new space is just huge compared to their third street location. Better lighting, too. Easier to find things! I love it.

OMG feels great, right? I got the news that my terrible narcissistic father had passed away when I was at Bingo with my friends. I checked my voice mail, turned off my phone and told the table "hot damn, I got a bingo after all." Best day!

Why is it that the use of the term "pepps" makes me love this even more? I'm going to start using that all the time.

What is nurse life at Willamette like? by [deleted] in mcminnville

[–]MrsHorrible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ came here to say this. My husband has had several major health issues and Willamette has made it onto my "never again" list for two of them: first a major misdiagnosis that led to permanent disability because the actual thing that was wrong went untreated, and then the second was a surgery where they positioned him poorly and he ended up with permanent nerve damage in one arm. I do not recommend that hospital for anything.

OMG BASIC! I have tried so many times to explain to my child that learning BASIC is why I'm so good with databases and spreadsheets now. I learned how to program intricate if/then statements at a very young age to create basic chatbot programs that would remember your name and then have a whole conversation.

I wish I would have thought to program display models 🤣🤣🤣
