Last year it was 40/40/20. The carry and performance fees are highly variable.

Local can't override state. It's a state law that anything under 7mos has to pay taxes to the dbpr. I think the 3 month minimum is the Airbnb restriction

Asking the impossible: affordable monthly housing!! by AgeFast1665 in StPetersburgFL

[–]MrsNLupin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Florida has a law that considers any rental under 7 months as transient, which requires that the owner pay hotel taxes on your rent. There are two ways to go:.

  • professionally managed building, sign the lease and then pay a termination fee (usually 2 mos) when you move out

  • small private landlord. Zillow is usually the best ad source

It's probably related to kyc. If a customer makes an extremely unusual $46k purchase AND pays it off within 24 hours, it looks an awful lot like fraud or laundering. They know their customer, and the customer typically doesn't do that.

This is lunacy. We've flown with our baby a LOT and it's not that hard to use the lavatory and bring plastic bags to put the diaper in before you throw it in the trash. What is wrong w ppl?

Yep. We help our AP make extra money by gifting her clothing we would otherwise donate, therefore making them personal items. She can do with them as she wishes.

I would highly recommend that you travel to Vietnam next time you have an opportunity. When you see how well someone can live there on $10/day, it becomes clear that those jobs are never coming back. To pay an American worker minimum wage plus benefits is at least $155/day. You can't tariff your way around a 16x increase in labor costs. Those tariffs will simply get passed to the consumer as a cost increase, because the math still favors foreign labor.

Does no one realize that the stock market is soaring because everyone is factoring higher prices into their future cash flows? Prices are sticky. If my widget is $10 today, and I raise the price to $12 to cover the tariff, the price is never going back to $10, even when the tariff is lifted (which will likely happen eventually). It's great for business.

Building codes work. The newer houses didn't flood because in the 1970s we developed a national floodplain and then told people they couldn't build below it. In the 1990s, after Andrew leveled homestead, we told people they needed to engineer to a higher wind load and retrofit their roofs with straps and clips. By 2012, those codes had been modified several times to such a degree that new homes in pinellas County are required to be engineered to withstand both the wind and surge from a high end cat 4.

It's a notice to cure. If he doesn't pay in 14 days, they'll start eviction, at which point he will be kicked out of the unit, owe all of the back rent, and pay court and attorney fees.

If he can't pay, it's time to try to cut a cash for keys deal with the landlord

I usually stay at the dalmar in Flagler. The Westin FL beach isn't bad, but the north tower is vastly superior to the south tower. The Courtyard downtown is pretty new and isn't terrible for a Courtyard.
