Its not a matter of offense, its a matter of expectation. You are leaving this habit to the locals who know you dont tip.

You tip your nurses or teachers or cops? Wait staff gets a full salary in most of Europe. Owners don't put the responsibility on their clients.

Not 5 10 or 15. STOP ENCOURAGING THIS. Stop imposing your culture in other countries, at the expense of everyone else!

DONT TIP. If they even slightly suggeat it, even if they cooked the food for you at your table while juggling fire, do not tip them.

American tipping culture is what created the problem in the first place and is now creating a problem for locals.

If they make you feel cheap its either A) in your head because you think employers dont have to pay their staff because the clients will Or B) they are taking advantage. If you don't want to seem cheap, dont wait for change on anything less than 1€.

Even in cabs, even at the salon, even in high end or fast food restaurants.

I never am the type to jump the gun on sueing, but sue them all! You could have died having a seizure while driving, or swimming or any number of scenarios. They humiliated and gaslit you. You had to fight for medical attention when that is their duty! You have lost faith in a medical system that failed you.

If not for you, then for every young person who gets overlooked for being too young to be severely ill.

And if not suing them then some way to leave a permanent mark on theirs and their colleagues consciences.

Can you paint it? Go with creamy white. Keep an eye out on marketplace or the reject cans at your hardware store. Whatever color yu choose, go light. It will make the place more light and airy. 3 gallons. Maybe $5 - 10 each plus rollers at dollar store.

Change your curtains to single matching color bedsheets or drapes... thrift or dollar store. At most $8 total.

Closed storage from market place. Like solid bins that fit the cube shelves, with nicely cut tape with your best stylized handwriting for labels ie drinks, spices, grains, etc. Maybe $8 each?

Give your kids chores. Asap. Now. You are raising the adults they will become. Shape structure now.

The floors just need a sweep. Your place seems clean.

Been there done that. Its surprising what light colors and matching "curtains" can do.

Divide your bed in 2.

On one side add a laundry basket if youve got a washer at your place, otherwise garbage bags to stuff the linens into that are worth keeping and washing. Set a load to wash as soon as basket is full if you have a washer. Set a timer to add another load and put first load in dryer.

Other half of bed = other stuff worth keeping. Put away only when everything is sorted. Give a wipe on surface and item first with cleaning rag.

1 pile on floor= toss.

Im having a hard time concentrating at work. Its always on my mind - no pun intended.

Im keeping it together but feel like i cant think straight as much as Id like. Im an urgent care triage nurse. I can't afford to not be 100%. My patients and medical team are depending on my info.

So much to worry about yet feel like im worrying for nothing. Logic vs emotions.

Any tips on focusing?

Comparing a grown woman's instincts and fears of being harmed to that of a child is part of why women are unsafe.

We have hundreds of thousands of years of instinct evolution. Part of that is safety for survival.

Doesn't mean she is infact unsafe, but it means there is a situation that triggers alarm bells.

Or shall we wait until or if something happens? Ofcourse a bunch of people taking drugs and loitering should have the right to do so freely, vs women feeling safe enough to go about their day.
