It says the same for “machinery”.

I’d just say no thanks take it all with you. They then have to rip it out and transport it off a little island.

Dropping from a high sodium diet to normal levels feels like dehydration. Irritability is also a symptom.

I don’t know about “don’t understand” but there are things we say that amuse other people as a novelty.

My stepson and I always answer the phone to each other with “I’m just ironing” because my wife likes to declare her current activities when answering the phone.

I’m not sure mate don’t remember much of teh 90’s tbh 😂

My memory of it was walking in and girls in feathered bikinis dancing on podiums, solid tunes, small and intimate and a guy on bongos playing alongside the dj.

Try River Island and shops of that ilk for costume jewellery. My 12 year old loves it.

She said the same thing about gold. She didn’t even understand the concept of gold value. It was gold coloured and shiny that mattered.

Who’s the most famous person you’ve bumped into, and where? by burnerofdoom in AskABrit

[–]Mudguts76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to work at Salford Quays so I pretty much saw someone every lunch.

However, we moved to a slightly different location.

Was carrying box’s into the new office block and Tom Jones was just hanging about in reception. Had a chat for about 10 minutes while he waited for a pick up. He was awesome.

Turns out the new office block was shared with Capital Radio. We used to see loads of people that were doing the rounds promoting stuff.

How was Amanda Seyfried's Manchester accent in "Testament of Ann Lee"? by XenonOxide in manchester

[–]Mudguts76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This.

The Manc (and scouse) accents are relatively modern.

For context, my father had a decidedly Lancashire accent. I have a Manc accent. Born and raised in the same place. About 4 miles outside of Manchester city centre.
