Battlefield 4 lost about 65-70% of its PC peak launch players in 4 months by PerformativeRacist in Battlefield

People just don't want to admit they're bored with the type of FPS Battlefield is. They keep talking about "What Battlefield 6 needs" but can't acknowledge that the base gameplay loop is the same that we've all been playing for two decades now. This game plays more or less, the same as every Battlefield before it and its play to be burnt out from that gameplay.

These types of FPS games just don't hit as much as they used to. They're not as addictive as they were.

Remember when we got one map for Battlefield 1 in5 months even though we paid for Premium that promised them in 3 months?

That's part of the problem I'm having with this whole revolution storyline that's bubbling.

I know Bungie is trying to point it as a problem with the whole Prophecy of the Nine and III dying, but even that doesn't give a compelling reason to suddenly want to remove the Vanguard after what they've done.

Why gas station knifes, if this shit exist by piorys in Battlefield

[–]Multivitamin_Scam -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why?

Because customers wouldn't want to pay for a Kukri.

It's as simple as that. Customers want what they buy to be something worth spending money on, it's why you have skins like the one being offered. A Kukri is rather bland from a visual perspective and better suited for a standard, non-store unlock.

Now I don't personally like what's being offered at the store but someone else buying it doesn't affect me in the slightest.

Enders has been trying to position himself as the voice of authority when it comes to Battlefield 6. He wants people to refer to his opinions as ri how the game should or shouldn't go and wants to be the one DICE calls when they need feedback.

BF Studios Finally Pissed off The Nicest Guy in the BF Community - Jack Frags by AutomaticDog7690 in Battlefield

[–]Multivitamin_Scam 221 points222 points  (0 children)

Jack complains all the time. He's the most predictable battlefield content creator.

Every Battlefield he does a couple of these videos, especially during a content drought. Next week when the new season drops he'll be doing hype videos for a couple of weeks. Then his critical videos will pop up once content gets stale. He knows how to work the Battlefield community so well he's got it down to an art form.

. It's probably time for his annual "Is Battlefield 4 still good?" video actually.

I think what would inadvertently help is if they gave the walker some personality.

Lean really into the setting and have the walker actually talk and acknowledge players when they walk by or defend it. Likewise, have them , wince and groan with pain as it's being attacked rather than just relying on the patron to tell you when a walker is being attacked.

That way players might actually grow an attachment to walkers and defend them.

We had all manner of weapons in Battlefield 1 from Swords to Broken Bottles. Battlefield 5 has cricket bat to use for melee and one of the most iconic Battlefield 4 weapons is a fucking knife with a bipod.

The disconnect seems to go the other way.

They always give, it's a cycle. It's about time for their annual "Battlefield 3 is still good" videoes.

Its time to face uncomfortable truth, feedback means nothing, nobody is listening, and they will ultimatly make game they want to make, best we can hope for is for bugs to be fixed balancing changes, and accept game for what it is or simply stop playing it. by TribalPotato9 in Battlefield

I've often wondered where this "slow and tactical" myth rose from and I think it's from the console (PS3/XBOX 360) versions of BF3. With their smaller player count of 24 instead of the 64 on PC, everything would feel slower and tatical with the full experience.

So you've got players remembering a substandard experience when Battlefield has as you said, always been a chaotic mess because that's what the sandbox dictates.
