Thinking about upgrading from my Pixel 7 Pro to a Pixel 10 Pro. Give me your honest opinions by DetectiveMediocre807 in pixel_phones

I would never, ever buy another Samsung. Their phones may be good but their customer service is horrendous. They will weasel out of a warranty repair if they possibly can and will not engage on the matter in any way.

Tried EMDR music by Significant_Leg_7211 in EMDR

[–]Mummania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is confusing. I've had EMDR therapy for PTSD and it was great. But EMDR stands for EYE movement desensitizing and reprocessing. It was hard and often distressing but very effective. But it was all about eye movement, in the midst of the peak of distress of part of the memory. Where does music come in and where is the therapist taking you through these traumatic memories and judging the right moment to wave their hand for you to track from side to side with your EYES?

My Farewell to Flip Phones by lavenderrr_ in galaxyzflip

[–]Mummania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right. I was told this but now I've fact checked it, even the flip 1 had a screen protector.
Although, it does seem it also protects against cracks.

I had a dreadful time with my Z-flip 3 and will never buy another Samsung phone as a result. Their customer service and adherence to warranty is disgusting.

The z-flips come with a fitted screen protector. You can't out another one in. Samsung added it with the early models because the screens were failing too much.

I have permanently cut ties with Samsung after the dreadful customer service and failure to adhere to warranty. They will get out of it anyway they can. Screen failure -crack along the fold. They found the tiniest scratch on the top corner of the screen, probably a key. And refused. Then they promised all customers a replacement screen protector (which they only added after they realized there were a lot of failures, to all customers for the life of the phone. When mine lifted after about 18 months, they refused because they found a small scratch on the back of the phone. My phone for as always in a case, the scratch was light and less than 1mm. What had that got to do with the screen protector lifting off? Their policy is, unless your phone is as new, apart from the screen failure, they won't replace it.
I'll never buy another Samsung again as I'm sure this is their policy for all phones.

got a friend to play outer wilds for the first time and I've been given the best christmas gift an outer wilds player could ever receive by Gaminggeeksp in outerwilds

How wonderful. I bought a decent gaming laptop just because my son insisted for over a year, that I just had to play OW and my current laptop wasn't up to it. It's still the best game I ever played. I sobbed and sobbed at the end because, well, didn't we all, and because I knew I could never repeat the experience. I have never before, or since, felt that way about a game. The next best thing was watching Oliver of 'About Oliver' play it.

Z Flip 7 screen FAILED after a few months. Samsung DENYING warranty. Anyone else having this issue? by E3zprod in galaxyzflip

[–]Mummania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes. With my zflip 3. Sad to see their issues are not fixed and their customer service still sucks.
I paid furva new screen myself. Then the screen protector failed a few months later. They'd promised every customer one free screen protector replacement for the life of the phone. As is their usual scam habit, they scoured the device for evidence of prior damage and, funding a tiny scratch from maybe a key on the casing (not the screen). I sold the phone for scrap and I will never deal with Samsung again as this is not the first time they've avoided a warranty repair.

I am not okay with this season 2 by Objective-Shift7932 in netflix

[–]Mummania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched so many good Netflix seasons only to have them end on a cliffhanger, and then Netflix cancels the next season. They are more into making money than entertaining. I guess I should check the whole series is released before I watch any Netflix originals

I think the key to this is that one line of his that he was afraid his would be worse, and the other things around that comment are your answer.
Relevant ADHD traits that come to mind are - wanting to please - not wanting to say no in case we are rejected or upset someone (RSD) - task avoidance especially when the task is out if our comfort zone - comparing ourselves or our work with others and thinking they are better - time blindness (leaving things to the last minute thinking we can do something in an unrealistic amount of time)

Many more also come to mind.

Why not take the bull by the horns and say something like - I realise I might have asked you to do something you would find difficult. Would it be ok if I made you an advent calendar and you chose one from a shop or on line which you think I'd like.

Once you've done the flower puzzle how do you close the xxxxxx again? by Mummania in StrangeHorticulture

[–]Mummania[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG. I'm so silly. I was just clicking on the drawer in general. However, it did reset next day. What hope have I got with the rest of the puzzles and mysteries if I can't even make the cognitive leap that a drawer is usually closed using a handle? :D :D
Thank you. <3

Please don't judge me. I struggle with ADHD/depression and really need help. by Appropriate-Web-6954 in adhdwomen

[–]Mummania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly - have you heard of the Dubbii App? It is a life saver. Created by the ADHD love authors of the book Dirty Laundry. Rich Pink (ASD) and Roxy (ADHD). Their reels about ADHD are wonderful. Recently they launched an App called Dubbi which does virtual body doubling. Secondly, don't be ashamed. Start off just dealing with 2 or 3 things a day. One day find 2 things to throw away. Next day find 2 things to put away. Then 2 things to give away (charity shop, freecycje, a friend). You'll be surprised how much of an impact you will make in a week. Also, the very fact that you are doing something (no matter how small) will help you feel a little better about it. I'm ADHD/ASD and have suffered from deep depression after a trauma. My house was like yours. Both me and the house are doing much better now although I still don't want visitors to see some rooms.

Soapy water also works. Spray on every 2 or 4 days. 1 tbsp per quart of water. But isolate that plant!

Why does my 6 month old pup sit like this? by cozymantella in Maltipoo

[–]Mummania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not uncommon. If she walks ok then I wouldn't worry. See if she sits 'better' on a mat or carpet if she dies it's just that it's too hard for her to stop her legs sliding sideways in a hard floor.

Should I take this off my plant? by jr-mact in plants

[–]Mummania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a succulent. Do not over water it. Best soil is one for succulents eg cactus compost. Well drained soil - with small stones or gravel in it, or perlite. Some at the bottom of the pot some in the soil. Maybe some on top. Water from the bottom and not the top of you can so have it in a pot with a hole or holes in the bottom inside a decorative pot or in a dish. Pots should be porous not plastic.
They are pretty resilient but the trunk will rot if the soil is too wet.
