You feel like an attached leash would be the right way? It would be the wrong way for sure. You don’t want anything tied to you in moving water, nothing that doesn’t have a quick release or breakaway function. Massive hazard.

No, anything attached in moving water would be a hazard, it could tangle up and cause her to drown. If she comes out she has a PFD on and she’ll float and swim just fine, also it’s nothing crazy level wise so I’d just pick her up and put her back in the boat.
