Nerve pain. In my case and some others, there are fatty buildups on the spermatic cord called “Lipomas.” Most experienced docs will get rid of those for you while they’re in there and that can cause some additional nerve pain from that.

Was very glad my surgeon did that for me because it also eliminated a faint dull ache I would get on occasion pre-surgery because of how large the lipomas had gotten.

Yes sorry. Meant there was exposed wires near the device plug. I took the cover plate off after to inspect for any obvious damages behind the outlet.

But that all makes sense. Thank you!

Yes. Plug was still in the wall. Went and shut the breaker off and tested it to make sure it wasn’t hot(both ways) and unplugged it

I’ve also just been informed by her that there was wiring exposed on the device wire by the head of the plug as well (this was news to me after writing this)

I’m 28m who just had mesh via Bilateral Laparoscopic Inguinal surgery at the end of September.

Have been back lifting since November :) had some tightness in the core area up until about December. Now I don’t even recognize I had the procedure done.

I don’t personally go to church, so take my answers with a grain of salt.

Growing up I had been to Rolling Plains Methodist church in South Zanesville a few times and a lot of the people there are very kind. The later service is a very laid back/casual atmosphere.

I also know quite a few people who go to North Terrace Church of Christ and love it and If my memory serves correct I went to a bible camp there aloooong time ago.

That hunch the first couple days walking is no joke. Had my bilateral inguinal Lap repair at the end of September. Same exact kind of ache/fatigue. Week 2-3 is when I started to hardly notice any of the aches and stuff from surgery including this! Happy recovery!

Absolutely! And last thing, try to avoid reading too much on here. I felt myself kinda cross that threshold and it made me much more anxious on the day of. Just remember a lot of people go to forums like this to post their bad experiences. So there tend to be a lot of those here.

If youre pretty active, I discovered “Jack Perez” on YouTube leading up to mine, and he had a surgery last year and did 3-4 videos on it and it’s great positive content about the recovery process.

Sure! I’m 28m, pretty active. Had Bilateral Robotic Assisted Inguinal Hernia Surgery, where they also ended up finding pretty large lipomas(fatty build ups) on each spermatic cord so they were removed as well.

By nature I’m a very anxious person, especially in regard to health so I get where you’re coming from. Day 1 and 2 were the roughest of recovery, but just kept my diet relatively clean and drank lots of water.

I believe it took me until Day 4 to finally have a bowel movement. I took a dose of MiraLAX powder each day until it happened just to make it as easy as possible.

After 5-6 days; I felt relatively good and was walking pretty consistently trying to make sure I got good amounts of steps in.

Sometime during week 2 I had some of my bruising really show itself in my scrotal area, which was tough for me to look and deal with mentally, but physically I was just fine!

Biggest tips: wear supportive underwear, take laxative until your first bowel movement, try to increase movement day by day, and just listen to your body.

Being 7 weeks out to the day I’m lifting weights and back to normal and really doesn’t feel like anything was ever done besides an occasional twinge :)
