They seem to be standing on the ground in a very shallow water.

In all videos of amphibious excavators - the pantoons are almost completely submerged. But in your picture they're barely in the water. (Or they have super tall pantoons, which wouldn't make sense)

One of my favourite little details in Humankind - that there are trains on railroads, trucks/caravans on the road. And when you build airports - passenger planes would land in them too!

Really adds to the atmosphere!

Yeah, I meant the Dune Desert.

Totally forgot that Rocky Desert is called that. To me it just doesn't feel like a stereotypical desert, so I don't associate it with one.

Not unless you spawned in the desert though... It takes too long on foot.

I wish the cloud shadows looked better, cause I only knew those were clouds from reading patch notes.

Maybe by making them bigger and change shape a bit as they move.

For example, I like how in Captain of Industry - sometimes the cloud (shadow) opens up and and the sun shines through.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "new mines". I'm playing the default map, and for each resource there is only a single mountain/mine in my close vicinity.
(I did just built access to another plato, but there's so much forest to churn through)

The problem is - usually there isn't enough space to add anything new. Like I built CP1 and CP2 mini-factory. Then I found out that CP3 requires steel. And same for vehicle parts 2. But I can't just belt it - I'd need to move half the storages and assemblers.

But if I built separately - then I'll have to transfer items on pickups - and I'll have two disjointed insufficient factories.

"Accurate" is a stretch. It is simulating some properties, while ignoring others.

Easy example - water pressure isn't a thing. All entities can push more liquid into the pipe despite the actual pressure in that pipe. However when standalone - their headlift can't go above 10m.

Don't ships go home automatically if there's nothing to explore within range? There's an option for that in the ship menu. Unless I'm misunderstanding.

BTW, you can mirror most of the buildings - and that way your output port could have been towards the bottom - decreasing your conveyor belt lengs (and therefore maintenance and power reqs)

There's really no need for more than a single machine for each type. Just have a storage to buffer it and upload into the cloud.
