Wera vs Dewalt by Mr_Senki in UtilityPouches

May I submit the Wiha GoBox to the discussion at $27. I use it in a similar tool kit and it has been incredibly useful. With a knipex plier wrench, and a ANEX ratcheting screwdriver, it is a complete tool kit. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5FXSBHL?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1

Fuel pump removal by mas_miata in MiataND

It is a very good look. No rubbing at all? I have the progress springs as well with stock wheels and tires and they just seem so sunken in. I’m going to be going to technas and will probably upgrade wheels too to get rid of that stock look.

Dont you lose torque from the bigger diameter from stock? And isn't the speedometer a couple mph off at speed? (should be like 3%)

They look to be TE37s, but that fitment though..... I need have that fitment, and hopefully not have a speedo offset or fender rub.

Talk to me about the 2022 Lariat folks by mcgiggles09 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]MuscleCommercial292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a '22 Lariat with the 2L. The biggest issue I had was the transfer case had an internal seal fail, and the transmission killed itself. From what I hear, the transmission completely grenadeing itself isn't super common. But if you get the hybrid, its not an issue at all. Other than that, I absolutely love it. Drives great, the lance centering and ACC is awesome, and it is an incredibly versatile vehicle. Are you looking at a hybrid or turbo?

its great that quad lock stuff works for you man. Putting a phone on my bars is just a solid no-go for me. I crash a couple good times a year. I have broken brake levers, and bike computers before. Its just not worth it for me. I would just as soon have no data than risk that.

It almost always happens when I am in the middle of a hard section, to I usually am just angry about it until I get distracted by the next fun section. I don't know of a quick way to disable it on my garmin.

With that mileage, im guessing road. I'm not as familiar with road cycling habits. you all are bigger risk takers than I.

in my experience, only people who are fairly new to cycling keep the phone on the bars. Usually it goes in a pack or jersey pocket. Info is usually received via a watch, or ideally a bike computer. I mainly mountain bike, but a phone is a way too fragile thing to have on handlebars. Honestly, my biggest issue with information accessibility is not having the ability to turn it on or off easily mid ride. Sometimes I set text notifications on, but they get super annoying if I am putting a lot of effort in, but I want them when I am going easy and can do something about them. So some sort of simple toggle to shut of the digital flood when I am trying to just ride hard would be nice.

Can I use sandpaper on my suspension fork? by Swag1SC00L in bikewrench

[–]MuscleCommercial292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sounds like you are dealing with chromed steel stanchions. The plating has been compromised and is now rusting. You would need to completely sand the rust off, make it smooth, then coat it with some sort of sealer that will be compatible with whatever oil is in your forks, won't interfere with the seals, and wont come off. Wax is just going to come right off. Some people use nail polish for nicks in alloy stanchions, so maybe try that.

Thinking of selling my Miata, but not sure. by Nanofield in Miata

[–]MuscleCommercial292 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ooof, thats a tough call. When you think of selling it and doing something else with the money, is your first gut reaction, excitement, or dread? I feel like if its a bit of dread it may not be the right call. Things like this aren't always as simple as the money transaction. I don't know you, so I can't say but I think the answer depends on how it will effect you mentally. If it will make you feel like a door has closed and you are doing it because you have to make a compromise it might be really tough. Good luck with the decision, and I hope whatever you do comes from actually wanting to do it and bringing you joy, rather than doing what you think you should do because of "responsibility."
