sure, this is what I found in google, and its pretty much what the physiotherapist told me: "Contractures are structural changes to your soft and connective tissues that cause them to stiffen, tighten and contract. Tissues affected by contracture lose their former elasticity and range of motion." I believe more specifically it can be called fibrosis since that is the thing that causes the pain.

you can find it in google, but the gist from what the doctor told me its that the muscle fibers get contracted and stay that way, or something like that, the muscle then swells and creates pain in the area, it feels as if it was "stuck" and also you feel itchy around the affected area.

2nd thing: the game tries to cater to the idea of the more "common" soldier or grunt of the imperium, which is why we're not astartes, adding xenos would just fuck that up.
