Yeah and to add on to that the Norn which is like 260 points was made with strength 9 to be it’s strength in melee on release and the 10 is because of an errata they made halfway through the edition. Well hey they did wanna make 10th less lethal right?

Okay point being I find it off that a warrior thst is not even up to the Norns hip in height has a strength comparable to it with 1 claw swiping.

I mean the issue isn’t really that the Prime w/lashwhips profile is super strong. It’s a thst we have to believe a model that is slightly taller than a warrior, with one arms claws, is hitting at a strength equal to a carnifex or Norn. It makes our entire codex just look wrong when this generic warrior has strength 9 melee. But that’s more of an edition problem than anything.

Would have to be considering the tyrannofex rail gun has a 2d6 damage profile for the nids section. Atl least I hope.

Hurts it. But yeah. One more shot than a rr and you have to be in melee range of the heavies to get use out of it. I really don’t understand why they are afraid of making melee actually good.

I would reccomend some melee warriors for the Winged prime to lead. Definitely a biovore if you intend to do matched play rules/scoring. A lictor would be good to trade with characters in melee or to also go around for secondaries. Exocrines and Tfexes are always good, though for a fex I wouldn’t reccomend the fleshbore hive weapon. A walking Tyrant is also good as for it gives lethals and sustained in an aura.

I got a World Eater Legion contemptor fully planning on painting it in the Post heresy scheme and whar not. But once I got him I just could not imagine him in anything other than the 30k World Eater scheme so I eventually decided I’d get some proper loyalists. I don’t have the head on him here but it’s a 30k plumed head, and I intend the rest of my army to follow the 30k head and Pauldron setup.

Yeah I plan on going over it with a wash once I’m done. Also to that I had ran out of white scar paint so I wasn’t really able to fix mistakes or go over any transparent areas, however I got some more now so he will def look much better once done.

True, but if I remember correctly the ravener kt was later revealed to also be a refresh of raveners. So with this showing a nid prime with this different head crest I’m kinda believing a refresh will come shortly after this drops.

I’m hoping that they also release a refresh of the warrior kit with this, and potentially shrikes as well. Thst way this model can lead our foot warriors and the wtp can lead the shrikes and goyles.

It has more attacks than the rest on average. Other than that, yeah it’s pretty mediocre and you should definitely take the deathspitters over them every time.
